Picked up Robotech Battlecry this weekend. Yeah, it's awesome. If you're a fan of the first series (Macross), then this is for you. It's near perfectly recreated right down to many of the original voice actors returning.

Plus, it has one of those fun BIOS screen loading messages.

Which leads me to my next question, I know one of the Splinter Cell games has "Embrace The Dark" on that screen, and Ikaruga also has a message here. Any other games that might have something like that?

I don't know about the messages but I'm hoping to stumble upon the Robotech CE version of this game that comes with a soundtrack, dog tag, t-shirt, and art. It's a nice looking package.

Robotech is fairly fun on the GC. Just keep your cool with it. Some of the stages, the controls and camera won't play nice with each other and it can get infuriating, especially on a timed stage I recall with zentradi ship clusters over an open landscape.

Something that one of the game stores I went to last week is doing now with some of the higher value Gamecube games like SSB Melee and the Zelda titles is now they're labeling them as "MKT" (market) pricing, so it would be something like ordering fresh seafood at a restaurant, or basically go when the VGPC average is favorable for a good deal

Stop, you're making me hungry! That sounds really good right about now...could go for a pound-and-a-half Melee with lemon and butter.

I couldn't wring any enjoyment out of Robotech: Battlecry no matter how hard I tried. It was one of the reasons I bought a Gamecube back in the day and I just found it too clunky and frustrating. Pretty much any escort/defense stage is especially awful and there's an abundance of them.

If you have the ability to play Japanese PS2 imports, check out Macross on that. In my opinion it beats the crap out of Battlecry.

I also really like the A.C.E. games which are mecha crossover action games that include Macross characters and Valkyries. The language barrier is a little more painful with those though.

This fell off the first page :(

I've managed to now acquire or am in the process of acquiring most of the NGC accessories I wanted. Mas hooked me up with Component Cables for a knockout price, thanks bro, and I just ordered from EBay a brand new in box Intec LCD screen. The seller still has both black and indigo up for sale and he came down to $45, best offer, so if anyone is looking for one it's a solid price. Seller ships from Canada but provided tracking and shipped next day.

On the gaming front I finally picked up a copy of Nintendo Puzzle Challenge which has 4-player Panel de Pon and Dr. Mario along with Yoshi. I highly recommend it. I'm going to pass this time, due to having bought the LCD screen, but their is a JPN exclusive Club Nintendo Pac-Man Vs on EBay right now if anyone is looking for this fairly unique item.

Under $100 at first, I thought was a knockout price. Now it seems to be $150 or less. I got mine 2 years ago at $115. The difference in picture quality is worth it.
