I see to a man customer reviews for those are all positive, though.
I get your point that they feel "cheap". But if it works it works.
I feel at that price it's not a bad purchase.

Well, again, they feel fragile and like they would break easily. And I might be somewhat of a snob when it comes to AV cables.

Gettin some time to play GTA 5 and finally i got to meet the great all mighty Trevor... What the hell? How this... character get's to be the most "loved and favorite" of the people?
I know all three main characters are supposed to be assholes but god this guy takes it to the extreme. You are lucky if he dosen't kill you when a dog barks at a cat on the other side of the city.

What? You don't like a psychopath that rapes and pillages on a whim, because he can? I am offended by you!

This is interesting. I always felt the first title in any new IP is the best one (on the same console) because thats the one where the developer releases all their new ideas and their best efforts. The second ones usually are more of the same thing or some new additions to keep things interesting.GSZX1337 wrote:
Uncharted sucks; plain and simple. If you want to give it a try, the second title is in every way superior than the first so that'll give you a better impression of the series.
Not in this specific case since I don't think there were many JRPGs for the PC, but as far as graphic goes, it will be interesting to know how pc graphics were in 1997. All I remember is Quake and it wasn't that good looking. I remember Red Alert but it was impressive graphics wise.Sarge wrote: It's awfully quaint now, but pretty astounding for a console in those days. I'm sure PC folks were laughing at least a little bit, though.

I think they're all about the same but I guess 2 & 3 are better from a technical stand point. They're all fun rides that could be way better. The gunplay sucks and once you get the climbing down it becomes 100% predictable and inorganic. Thankfully I think the characters are decent and it really does feel like playing through a movie. They nailed that aspect I must say. The whole thing is such an homage to Indiana Jones.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I have only finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and based on those two games, I concur the gunplay isn't great. And that's a real shame because you spend about 70% of your time in gunfights, at least in those two games.Snatch1414 wrote:Uncharted / The gunplay sucks
Let's be honest here, the draw of Uncharted has always been graphical powerhouse content tourism. I don't think people bought these games for how they played, but rather how they looked. Although the second and third games were probably aided by having additional directors besides just Amy Hennig, so those may actually be fun to play unlike the two I finished.

An spinoff that was 90% exploration and puzzles would be awesome. I wish the whole series was like that, though we've gotta keep it mainstream ya know.....Exhuminator wrote:I have only finished Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and based on those two games, I concur the gunplay isn't great. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Uncharted 2 adds stealth mechanics, and improves melee combat. So, at least for some encounters, you have the possibility of sneaking around and taking out enemies to avoid a mass shootout.
Relatively speaking, Drake's Fortune is pretty clunky compared to the mechanics of 2. 3, IMO, was a "more of the same" effort that was solid, but felt smaller than 2. Or I was just expecting a 1->2 type improvement and didn't see it.
Generally though, I'd agree, if you only want to play one of them, play Uncharted 2. That said, they're like ~10 hour games, so playing 1-3 isn't exactly that large an undertaking.
