If I buy an S-Video cable for the Saturn like the one below, do I need anything else?

How do you mean "anything else" ?
That product you linked to has cables for audio as well. Is that what you're worried about?
So you're good to go. :)

My account on the PS4 has the same picture it had on the PS3, but it was one of the default ones available, so I can't speak as to whether a special unlocked one will transfer.

Yeah, you'll need a better S-Video cable. Retro-Bit sucks.

You have tried that particular cable then?
I ask as I'm also kinda interest in getting it.

That particular one, no. I've had other Retro Bit cables though, and they're low quality. I wouldn't use them. I've also tried a Retro Bit power adapter, which was also low quality. After that, I just stay away from them entirely.

I don't buy the power adapters but I've found the AV cables (and controller extensions for that matter) are hard to screw up and haven't had any problems. Seems the voltages on a lot of aftermarket power adapters are not right.

Actually, I've used NES controller extension from them before and they weren't horrible like their other products.

Their AV cables though, I just don't like how thin they are. Pure shit, I just don't get it. Use heavier gauge wires and charge a few more bucks per cable for crying out loud.

I might be a little bit of a snob when it comes to this, but I stay far away from AV cables that are that thin. You can't tell me that they're shielded properly. Especially the S-Video cable, which is suppose to carry TWO shielded signals. Just compare the thickness of a standard off the shelf S-Video cable to a Retro Bit cable and you'll see what I mean. And being that thin, they seem so fragile! Like they will break easily.

That's certainly fair. The usual cost/quality dilemma.

The messed up part is you really don't have an alternative unless you can solder.

You can add standard AV jacks to the console like this:

http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?PHPSE ... 7#msg13927

Or, you can make your own cables. The thing that sucks about this is the Saturn mini-DIN plug is not standard. You'd have to buy a shitty Retro Bit cable (or whatever Saturn cable that has the needed pins) and use the plug to make a cable with.
