What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Question is, should I put the lid down?

Of course.

I'm not sure what the toilet etiquette is in your house, but if the lid isn't normally down it'll make her suspicious.

In my house it is random, so it'd be ok. With a house full of women, the seat better be down though. ;)

Back in college my girlfriend was hanging out at the house we were renting and she excused herself to go to the bathroom. I then hear a shriek because she didn't actually check to see whether or not the seat was down and just sat.

All of my toilets almost always have both lids down. Open toilet lids are gross.

OCD much?

I don't think so. Simply think it's proper bathroom etiquette to leave both lids down when ya finish your business.

Plus, if I didn't keep the toiled shut I could not place a horrifying balloon in it without raising a good amount of suspicion. ... Which I find hilarious for some reason If your wife walks into the bathroom, sees the toilet lid shut and thinks "Something is not quite right here", you have serious trust issues.

I wonder if she learned her lesson, or if you could accomplish the prank where you put plastic wrap over the bowl.

Yeah our toilet lid is almost always down, because you should see how much liquid sprays out during a flush and where it goes. Not a germaphobe or anything, but that is just gross

This stuff is really starting to piss me off. It might sound unreasonable, but essentially all vendors in my area are siphoning out the video game stock to other states. It's what GameStop and GameStar does and they're the largest chains here.

Rants galore:
There's GameTrader whom between the management and unfair competition is being pushed out of business. Even further out there's Video Game Wizards, whom is about to start pushing out their stock online, they have two other locations opening in really off the beaten path areas it would seem as a result.

The only store that has an actual selection is Retro Game Trader ... and everyone thinks it has to be a front for something else, because of how ludicrous the business is. Sure they have whatever you might want ... but people don't buy this stuff there, because it's 10% above eBay buy it now (likely because that's where they bought it). The same exact stock is sitting on their shelves from last year.

To top this off, they opened down the street from Game Trader a store that's been a local staple for 25 years. Everyone in the area whom is just getting into video games constantly confuses the stores for one another. RGT has even begun buying various sets of stock from Game Trader just to mark it up in their store down the street. Talk about a lack of ethics.

And now, Goodwill, a company that gets all their inventory for free, whom had no problem opening and running stores before giving a shit about video games, now refuses to put video game stock out into the stores in my area. If you DO find something video game related it's insanely overpriced (like $60 for an original Xbox, by it self no box or anything)

All of these places are doing this in the same areas, there is now no stock here available to local people. The only time people can even buy something for a normal price is during the Portland Retro Gaming Expo ... and even that to a large degree is the same vendors putting more stock out of Oregon.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple years, those vendor's prices are more and more ridiculous. At the recent PRGE Swap Meet (Reggie was there), the prices were absolutely ridiculous. With, extremely lazy Vendors checking eBay when you went to buy something to reprice what you were looking at.

What the fucking fuck, seriously. Video games are virtually dead in my area now because of all this shit. Things are now "rare" or expensive just because it's old. Absolutely nonsensical!

This isn't accounting for the entire greater Metro area, but my area and a good 25 mile radius is like this. I mean shit, for me to find a quality selection and priced video game store I have to drive 90 miles to the coast. Only because that owner refuses to sell to non-store foot traffic.
Crono is not happy. Ten years ago it wasn't this hard to find games here, now it's almost impossible. I'm not upset that I can't rake people over the coals, I'm fine with fair prices, I'm upset that the stock doesn't even visibly exist any more. I get better deals on eBay than I do locally from the same people. That's fucked up.

Toilet Seat lid etiquette:
If you've had dogs you likely keep your toilet seats down and it becomes a habit. Toilet water is recycled without being let back into the ocean. Don't let animals drink it. If they're ever in a position with a weakened immune system they will get sick and they probably won't recover.

Fun fact: Most water fountains are dirtier than toilet water :D

... So is bottled water.
