Cute response, but The Adventures of Cookie & Cream is an outlier hardly indicative of From Software's greater library insofar as atmosphere's concerned anyway.

Only an outlier artistically, it is just as sadistic and creative than their other output, and in some places even more so.

I know you basically said the same thing, Ex, I just get happy and want to talk about this game any time I am given the chance. :V

The Echo Night series are first person adventure games where the player is tasked with aiding ghosts in ways that help the spirits move on to the afterlife. There are danger elements in the games as well, which adds a survival horror angle. I've played a bit of the first and third game, and both were creepy having that distinctive From Software vibe we (should) all know and love.
I agree with this and eagerly suggest the Echo Night series to anyone even remotely interested in horror games.

Can they be scary? Yes, at times. But they are also some of the most soothing survival horror titles I have ever played, and the experience is one I find unique and charming. I am a fan and recommend them.

I'll note them down to check out later, then, thanks! :D

I kind of want to play Gunpei Yokoi's Ten Billion machine, which is a (physical, not digital) puzzle game in the vein of Rubik's Cube. I'm just intrigued by it, but it's too expensive for me to get one

Right as I was starting to get a bit tired of Darksider's 2 art and story it turns into something far far better. 8)

Cool game so far.

Thanks for everyone's help! I finally beat FF VII. I can cross that from my bucket list. This game is epic and I can see how this was mind-blowing in 1997, just compare it to Mario RPG which was released a year earlier IIRC.

The problem of this game is that its really difficult. I had to read a step by step guide and even then it took me 50hrs or so to beat it. You can easily get lost and there is a lot of stuff you should know. I seriously did research on items, boss strategies, and game mechanics.

dunpeal2064 wrote: Also worth noting, Mystiles may appear to not be as good of an armor based purely on Def and M Def, but they give you SO much dodge that, even with less slots, I think they easily out-perform the Ziedrich.
Now this explains why Bizaro always missed me with his hits, I thought I was just too powerful for him :p
Again, if you need to level up Phoenix, as long as you have W-Item to dupe, you can easily do it in the crater. :)
You can use W-item to launch 2 summons at once? I wish I knew that, it could have saved me a lot of time.
