One example. You know when you complete a level in Kirby's Adventure and then launch him into the clouds? On the R5 I have the hardest time doing this. I just can't get the timing down. No issues on an NES.

I have still been able to complete games like Contra on the Retron 5. And I mostly play RPGs, so no huge issues here.
Funny that you say that because with that candy's dance studio in DKC on gba I seem to have better luck on the R5 than on a gba with getting the timing right  on a gba or sp yeah forget it

Seriously it's the TV when it comes to lag. Perhaps see if you can run it through a PC LED screen and see what happens, mind you though you could psych yourself out subconsciously. :)

That GG thing is huge. It opens a few interesting doors considering the comments about the processors and other guts if it can handle 'it' as they put it. It means essentially they could add a module (or someone could hack one even) for another console. N64 comes to mind when it's legal ties break down this year or next whichever it was. That system is a dog when it comes to non-CRT screens with graphical problems and other garbage. I keep mind not plugged in because of the problems as some games have to have a CRT or they just don't work. Having a nicely coded Retron5 module emulator, running the carts through a module like that, and fired up with HDMI and all those nice perks would be big. And with the IPS and other patching, perhaps some of those nuts could force those HIGH-res visual packs a few games like Mario64 had made for it into play too (if the memory limit would support it.) If they'd announce a N64 jack, I'd buy it, hands down no questions.

Problem is, there's not really a great N64 emulator to steal code from.

Game Gear adapter is a game changer. With this addition, we can finally play our GG games on the TV screen - something many of us have wanted to do for years.

Now let's wait another three years for hyperkin to get their product to market.

This is outstanding news! Super excited to play through my Game Gear library that I have built up over the years. I even asked Hyperkin about adding GG support last year at the Classic Gaming Expo (God rest it's soul) and they said it wasn't going to happen because there wasn't demand for it. Well I can tell you I will be purchasing this adapter on day one.

Well hopefully they can combine them and use it. Whatever it takes really.

I think the reason they said the GG wouldn't happen would be the same reason why some companies just say no comment, they just don't want it out there too soon. I do hope they find a way to add N64. The issue I think would be that none of the existing emulators so far can handle 100% of the games, stuff like that complex microcode that runs Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine is not emulated. They'd have to find someone who can figure it out, have it just not run some games, or just not bother at all.

I'm excited about adding Game Gear support.

I'm indifferent towards N64.

Now, TG-16 and PCE support... that might interest me.

Finally! I knew hoarding Game Gear games without a working system would payoff eventually!
