Horrible. Hits hard. RIP living Legend. Dude was as genuine as you could get in such a position.

Same here, and the condition he was suffering from I don't think I've ever heard of until this point...I really hope they put out something other than that statement later though...

Definitely passed away way too soon. Guy was only 55. My condolences, we've lost a great one.

I think I'll remember him most from his past E3 press conferences and his saying "at Nintendo, we believe".

Rest in Peace.

Can't think of much else to say, really. I remember initially thinking the reports were a hoax. It's just hard to believe, seeing him not even one month ago on stage.

I agree. I'm really feeling this one pretty hard. This was a person that had great influences on my life.

And, beyond the notification, I don't have any doubt that it is the case now. This was Nintendo's world headquarters today:

I don't know if he was behind it, but it seriously impressed me that Nintendo decided instead of competing with PS/Xbox to bring new customers to the console market "The casuals" . It took a serious decision-maker to release a console that is much weaker in specs and then beat the competitors in sales.

Let us not forget they were the first to release a new controlling method since probably the Atari 2600.

I'm glad he was able to get in one more E3, and had fun with the muppet rendition of himself.

There were several Miiverse posts last night alluding to his passing. I just can't believe it. You will be sorely missed, kind sir.

@ Xero. I love that quote. That's what it's all about. Period.
