Speaking of tuna, I can't wait for the day to be over so I can go home and sear myself a sesame encrusted tuna steak.

Tuna steak tastes like a hot can of tuna. I'll never see the appeal.

But I never judge without a solution!

Macadamia nut encrusted coconut Mahi Mahi.

It's mahi mahi fillets soaked in coconut milk, rolled in a mixture of flour, nuts, and panko. It's stupid delicious. If you would like a recipe I have one. If you don't, you're silly.

And it's not expensive. It tastes like a million buck but costs about twenty for two , and that includes side dishes.

Tuna out of can is disgusting. Cant eat stuff that smells like cat food.

So much overtime. I had 44 hours of overtime in my last paycheck (2 weeks) and am on track to do very similar this paycheck. Cannot wait to see that money hit my bank.

So. Much. Overtime. Between the actual OT and the shift swaps (gearing up for 24 days off in a row mid-August thru early September), I've been averaging 60+ hour weeks the last 3 and have 2 or 3 more to go.

This reminds me, I should make a Dragoncon thread for this year and see if I can actually succeed in meeting up with anyone (as opposed to last year when I thought about meeting fastbilly but never managed to make it happen)

Come on man, earlier you said you were being slandered for Pete's sake. That was a bit hyperbolic, if not melodramatic? Notice I have not called you any names jp1, but you've called me an asshole twice already. (Protip: Once you've gone ad hominem, you've lost the debate.) Honestly dude, I don't think you're an asshole, or a fool, or insane, or stupid, or any of the other things you've misinterpreted from what I've said earlier. I do think based on certain posts you've made on this forum that you suffer from a mild persecution complex. Now, that's just my personal and totally unprofessional opinion, so it doesn't actually mean squat. Meanwhile depending on how much sleep I have not had my tact filter may or may not exist and sometimes I may indeed be a rude jerk asshole. So nobody's perfect?

Christians are cool. Fish don't have any feelings. We like to bicker more than we like to play old video games. I was trying to get my boxer dog to move his butt out of the way of the fridge today, so I pushed on his rear with my foot. Turns out my foot slipped and my big toe went directly in his stink place. My dog looked at me like I had just violated everything our lives ever meant to each other. I bunny hopped on one foot to the bath tub and we shall never speak of this again.

To share some happiness in this thread today, I spent my first real day as a stay-at-home dad yesterday and let me tell you, it was a trip! My wife and I spent the first three months of our baby's life together, learning and adjusting to being first-time parents. She finally went back to work as a nurse working the overnight shift, leaving me to watch the baby during the day when she was sleeping, as well as through the night while she was off to work.

What a hectic, but fulfilling experience! I have been spending a lot of time talking to her, watching her play and making sure she keeps to a loose schedule we have set up for her. Nothing can truly express the emotions that you go through when taking care of a baby. Fear, Excitement, Joy... everything possible runs through your head. Whatever the case may be, the moment you see your baby wake up from a nap, look at you and have a big grin spread across her face, your heart can do nothing but melt.

I can safely say though that all my time is dedicated to her and to keeping the house up. Whenever she is asleep, I am rushing around trying to get tasks done before she wakes up. Luckily, my wife only works 3 days a week, so we do have time to spend together with our baby and also give me some time to play a game here and there for an hour or so. For now, I am limited to some games of Hearthstone on my phone while she dozes off on me.

Such a crazy experience and one I am absolutely delighted to have.

P.S. Blu you should totally come see the baby some time and we can play some games!

On the tuna front I like to eat pouches of Starkist Sweet and Spicy Tuna as a snack. The Hickory Smoked variety isn't bad either.

So jealous of you. Not about the poopy head thing, but for having the opportunity to be a stay at home Father. That is definitely not an easy job and you're pretty rad for doing it.

Good for you, man. My wife and I actually did the same thing. She had three months off and then I took over full-time as stay-at-home dad. Been doing it since June 1013. Not sure how/when I'll ever go back to a "real" job. Hanging out with my kid is awesome, I'm sure you feel the same way.

I found that the first year was the hardest as my baby was still, well, a baby. Tough to get that sleep/feeding schedule down and sometimes the days can drag as it can be tough to find things to really "do." Fascinating to watch a kid grow up though. Now my girl is two and she's really active, social, and quite self-sufficient at times ("reading" to herself, playing Neo Geo, and so on). We attend two "group" activities in town per week and also frequently make day outings just the two of us (tomorrow we are headed into the city to hunt for Game Gear games for prfsnl_gmr - ha!).

Anyhow, enjoy it!

Clearly this isn't going anywhere productive. I don't know what Pete has to do with anything, or why slandering me would help him out.
