If it can die, I would probably just let him die at the beginning and get it over with. Either way the idea is a little fuzzy. Maybe if they made it clear early on that he was trained to hide from danger and just run away any time there's a confrontation it would still be a little odd but that seems the most sensible to me.
I would say the dog can only be knocked unconscious like most major character in Bethesda games. Hopefully they will give an option to leave him at base or he will have wait command so you don't have to bring him everywhere.

If he can't die I would say that they are probably going to kill him off in the last 30 minutes of the game for feels  .

I can't seem to enjoy the Fallout series. And that's odd because it feels a lot like the KOTR series, which I love. Playing Fallout to me is the equivalent of what my wife sees when I play a game: a waste of time. It's not exciting, not engaging, heavy on the dialogue, and the fights are boring.

The beginning of Fallout 3 sets the tone as you play as a baby that can play with balls.
I thought I was the only one who felt like this. I've tried so many times, but I can't get into it.

I just want a mod that lets me restore one of those swoopy autorama cars in the opening driveway scene using the crafting system and scavenging around. Then I'd like to be able to drive it anywhere and store my junk in the trunk. Is that asking too much?

I love the game; and one of the main reasons I am waiting for its release is that it has been developed by Bethesda Game Studios, and published by Bethesda Softworks.

This must mean you also love games with bugs like un-complete-able quests and great dialogue attached to utter nonsense quests and plot-lines.

Truth is, I actually love Bethesda games, but boy do they have some weird issues.

You can also wait for the GOTY edition that will be be already patched and almost glitch free.

Really anymore it's a good rule of thumb just to avoid games at release for the first week-month. Shit gets rushed out the door way to often anymore.

This is Bethesda Softworks. There is no such thing. That's why everyone install the community patches, because Bethesda lets the fans do their work for them.
