If you spent more than a dollar on your batteries and deodorant you wouldn't need to replace them every Tuesday.
You would be surprised at the brands Dollar Tree caries. I always get my batteries Dollar General though their batteries aren't the best ever but you get around 4-5x as many batteries as name brands like Duracell for the price so they end up lasting longer even if your having to swap them out more often.
Batteries Plus - Duracell Procell, best AAs on the planet. The only thing that comes close is Energizer Industrial and Energizer Lithium (but at a fraction of the price of those). I buy a brick of them when I need them.

Though recent test have said that the Ikea Alkalisk may be the best budget brand battery on the planet. Performing equal to the Procells in low mah tests, and as well as standard batteries in high mah tests, at $3 a 10 pack. Ill be buying a couple packs next time I go to do my own tests.

That's not what I buy every Tuesday, but items available that I might purchase. I go to the store because said items are available.

Smile: I had a business meeting in Ayden NC, and stopped at a gas station in Grifton* that was slammed packed, but no one was pumping gas.

I wandered in to find that this "Kash & Karry" serves fried chicken and all the Southern fixin's. Every table was occupied so I figured maybe I should order something. I asked the cashier of the chicken was any good and he replied with "It's good". Told him I wasn't convinced and said "twenty on pump two". He then said "This chicken is like crack. Try it and you'll be back".

So I turned around to the many patrons and asked "Is the chicken any good? Pollo beuno?".

The responses I heard included "Mmm", "Damn good shickin'", "pollo es hermosa", and a lot of "Yup"s.

So I decided to order a thigh, and the clerk handed me a box and said "I gave you two thighs, a drumstick, and two biscuits. I'm sure you'll be back".

And I will. The chicken was phenomenal. I only ate one thigh, and although I have a "thing" against our poultry market...so delicious. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and although it was deep fried I hardly needed the assistance of a napkin. Almost no oil at all, and I could definitely taste hints of sage. Best chicken I've had in a long, long time.

What's weird is that I would never think about taking my wife "out to dinner" to a gas station, but I might have to. Love, absolutely love, finding places like this.

:D Successfully acquired marriage license today, all it cost was money.

 Fiancee's family wants us to spend a week in the keys with them this November. I don't enjoy the beach enough to want to spend an entire week there. But it's family obligation stigma shit so whaddyagonnado.

Pack some suntan lotions, some sunglasses, and your PSP. You should be all set.

I just spent a week at "the beach" without entering the water once. Enjoyed the weather, ate some good food, took many walks, played with my daughter, read some books, caught up on some sleep. Had a good time overall. Then again, if my in-laws were present it wouldn't have been as fun.

Exactly.

Also lots of sand annoys the piss out of me.

Maybe there will be some nice aquariums though.

I'm going to the beach this weekend myself. And I'm going to enjoy it too.

Bring stuff you like. Id recommend interactive stuff so you don't seem like you are trying to distance yourself.

Stuff like:

Beach ball
Playing cards
Beach bingo cards
That velcro ball thingy people play on the beach
etc...

I hate sitting around at the beach, so I get ya. Bring things to do that are active and wear people out. That means less time at the beach and more fun.
