Decisions, decisions...help me out!

Post by CaptainWeasel »

Okay, two good deals appeared on Craigslist today, but I'm kind of low on cash and I don't know which one to choose.

First one is a boxed SNES, hookups, no controllers, with 3 games for $30. The games are NHL95, Super Mario World, and another game I can't decipher. The box looks like it's in good condition, I'm probably going to ask for some higher res pictures, just to make sure. Here are the pictures from the ad:

The second is a normal SNES with the hookups and one controller. The games are what piqued my interest. They are Super Mario RPG, Battletoads, Cool Spot, Batman & Robin, and TMNT: Lost in Time. Super Mario RPG alone goes for that price, and Battletoads is just great to have.

So what do you think, guys? Help me out here.

I'd go for option 2.

It just seems like less of a headache and while that other one is in a box, it's still used as well right? (No controller?) Plus, Super Mario RPG is awesome.

It says 'used a few times'. While I'll take that with a grain of salt (even though it shows no visible yellowing from the picture), the box is fantastic to have. :P And I have an SNES already, with controllers to boot, so I've got no worries about that; it's just the box I'm looking at.

And I replied to both ads asking for pictures. We'll see how it goes from there.

If you really would like to have the box I'd get option 1 then...but if what really matters is what you're getting with it...I would still go for option 2. I just read over the other games that comes with it, and just about all of them are great games.

Option 2 is a great deal imo.

NUMBER 2

it's only 10 bucks more, you get the controller with it, and you get Super Mario RPG. Maybe not uber rare, but still collectible enough to warrant far more then the 10 extra dollars. That and it comes with more games and the controller, you know what games (and you appear to like them), AND one of them isn't a gay NHL sports title. I love hockey, but come on, the SNES sports titles were not their selling point for the console.

That's what you get a genny for!
