Right. I'm looking for some gaming news sites to follow. I've had hell finding anything I like. Part of the reasoning is that I'm after news, not looking at reviews. Even when I am after reviews, it seems like many sites, outside of the big names, tend to be behind. I also have a bad habit of finding sites for a specific platform... though it never seems to be the platform I'm looking for.
So what's out there? I'm willing to try anything at this point. I'm even up for Youtubers that might keep up with news, or possibly even *shudder* podcasts.
I also figure some other folks here might like to see some other options, or share some of the golden nuggets they've found.

Re: Let's Talk About Gaming News Sites
I really enjoy podcasts... but anyway not sure how popular are but these are the ones i follow so far
Gamnesia; they're a bit nintendo biased but they usually post some insteresting news, besides that they post a couple of funny pics on their facebook.
Siliconera; they basically post news about any japanesse game that comes out of Japan, if you don't mind having to look through a bunch of pics with fanservice this site is great.
Dualshockers; now to be honest i barelly check this site, but still is good to have some variety here.

Re: Let's Talk About Gaming News Sites
I pretty much just use Tech Raptor, Gematsu, Digital Confederacy (which is helmed by some of my old Destructoid expat buddies, full disclosure) and Niche Gamer for video gaming news in non-video form.
(And Lewd Gamer, but shh, that's a secret.)
For video form news, I usually use TotalHalibut/Totalbiscuit's Content Patch and Co-Optional Podcast, Pat The NES Punk's CUPodcast, Mega64's Podcast and PressHeartToContinue's Sunday gaming news. Occasionally I'll also check out a Boogie vid and I always check Super Bunny Hop when he does a vid but he doesn't seem very consistent. I used to watch ReviewTechUSA, but Rich has started to grate on me and there's just so many times I flat out avoid his videos because he's just unpleasant to listen to at times.
All I can think of right now.

I like polygon. Good stories and pictures to look at.

I know there's lots of gaming sites out there, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for any other suggestions too.
A long time ago when I first came to racketboy, I had a thread started where you post your favorite gaming blogs.
Maybe this thread can be a new one?

Re: Let's Talk About Gaming News Sites
Games journalism has really gone down hill in the past few years. That's just my opinion, of course, but it's what I believe. I can remember when Joystiq and VG247 were actually really good sites, when 1UP still existed, and GameSpot wasn't a joke. Contrived sensationalist gaming culture "drama" and click bait trash "articles" have killed most sites.
Nowadays, there's only a handful of sites I personally still bother to check on a regular basis:
http://www.hardcoregamer.com/category/reviews/
http://www.siliconera.com/
http://www.dualshockers.com/
http://www.romhacking.net/?page=transla ... order=Date
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2
Other than that, judicious use of GameRankings.com's browse system will reveal all recent and upcoming games for any given platform. Along with reviews.

Eh, I mainly just read RockPaperShotgun and PCGamer for my current gaming news. But then again, I'm part of the PC Gaming Master Race.
