You also could play games of other regions on a soft-modded Wii (but be sure to use a separate memory card for each region, or else you may find that some of your data becomes lost).

Added a couple more games recently, 18 Wheeler on Saturday, and Swingerz Golf today. The latter was on my want list, and the former was a pickup after I really wanted to play it again, I'm still looking for the DC version because I think it has a little bit more with the extra modes.

I had no idea that Acclaim Cheltenham (18 Wheeler developers) was the former Probe Software! Also it looks like the golf game was done by Telenet Japan (AKA Renovation in the US)

^ How are those two games? I hadn't heard of the golf game and I've never played the other.

I'll be getting my top two most wanted games today. With the rest of my eStarland credit I grabbed Gauntlet: Dark Legacy which arrived yesterday and from EBay I have Baten Kaitos Origins scheduled to arrive today. I got it for about $15 cheaper then it usually goes for so I was quite happy about that. Gauntlet I've wanted for a long, long time and Baten Kaitos I had and traded before thinking I could find it again.

I visited a retro game store where I have some credit and while I found a few things like TimeSplitters they were either missing instructions or were in pretty rough shape. I did come away with a magazine called Pocket Games. Published by Ziff Davis it's issue 7 and in addition to the GBA stuff it had large coverage of the GameCube so I had to grab that one. It's an interesting magazine.

The 18 Wheeler port is arcade quality, but the voices were changed over, and not for better. I still want the DC port because I think that has an Original mode that no other port has.

This Swingerz Golf is all right. Decent graphics, lots of characters to unlock, items to equip, the evil analog swing, but to be fair, this game actually shows you the path you made to swing after each attempt! The power meter also has estimated distances of each shot right underneath, making it easier to do that. Another nice feature is the ability to save after each hole, so you don't have to start over. There's also mini games that show you how to play better. This game is VERY Japanese in its presentation, so expect a lot of that. It still remains a Gamecube exclusive to this very day, so don't pass up on it.

I'm a big fan of "lots of characters to unlock" in sports games. Mario Golf on the N64 was the first that hooked me with the model. Great replayability.

I updated the title thread per the request a couple pages back.

Thank you sir.

My NGC collection continues as I recently got Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life in trade and I acquired my first Interactive Demo Disc, #14. It contains the following demos and videos:
Demo: Custom Robo, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Sonic Heroes
Video:
GameCube - Custom Robo, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, I-Ninja, Mega Man Anniversary, Need for Speed: Underground, NFL Street, Pokemon Colosseum, Sims Bustin' Out
GBA - Metroid: Zero Mission

I also have some stuff winging its way to me, or will be soon, including Odama with big box, P.N. 03, Naruto 4 (JPN exclusive), and a region modded Indigo console. That Naruto game will be the first foreign exclusive in my collection. When I get a chance I'll post my updated collection.

My most recent GCN grab was the DK Bongos bundle (w/ Donkey Konga) and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. I haven't got around to testing them out, although they were primarily a future stash for my daughter. Looked like something fun to bang around on.

I've started to tailor my collection that way, and am pretty well stocked in the event of future console destruction via child. Have two GameCubes (black and silver) with a couple Wavebirds, in addition to two early model Wiis with GCN compatibility. 8)

There's a ton to unlock in Swingerz Golf, as well as items, accessories, and caddies.

Thread name looks better, this really is a catch-all thread like the one I started for Nintendo's portables.

DK games and bongos are a good time. I think she'll enjoy them.

Kids can be rough. Mine are much better but I've lost a Wiimote, GameCube controller, and a DS before my youngest, now 9, learned how to properly handle a controller.

*UPDATE*
So I recently expanded my Gamecube console family with the addition of a region switch modded Gamecube, from a fine gentlemen over at Nintendo Age, along with a copy of Naruto 4. I'm very happy about this as I can now finally play the JPN games I've wanted. I want to grab quite a bit but I want to start with the SHMUPS (Castle of Shikigami & Radirgy), Nintendo Puzzle Collection, Donkey Konga 3, and Kuruin Squash.

On the home side I recently picked up a CIB copy of Odama w/ big box and P.N. 03.

@retrosports I would've gladly come back and changed it myself  havent' really been paying attention to the thread though since my focus has been on other systems(like some of the sony systems that have been somewhat cheap if i have been buying games). I ought to try my hand at buying some more games for the system(seems to be the less common thing to spot at the pawns and everything....
