I adore the music in that game. In fact, I just adore that game. It seems to get a lot of hate nowadays, but screw those guys, it's awesomeRyaNtheSlayA wrote:Didn't expect Golden Sun to have as awesome of a musical score as it seems to have thus far (45 mins in)

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

Announced on Facebook earlier today alongside the above image, Retro City Rampage 486 will, as the name suggests, operate on 486 PCs running MS-DOS (that presumably means it won't run on older processors). You'll need 4MB of RAM, 3.7MB of HDD space and a history of hording obsolete PC gear – though if you don't have the hardware and must play this version, DOSBox will probably run it.

Very rarely I come across a game that makes me stare because of how moving it looks. Graphics are getting close to the uncanny valley, but when you have a team of French and Japanese watercolour artist on the payroll, you end up with something like The Coral Cave:

That is a game play shot. Dont believe me:
It is as if 80s Studio Ghibili Films were made as point and clicks.

Not to be a downer but when I saw it in motion it kind of just reminded me of one of those early '90s PC games for kids.fastbilly1 wrote:Very rarely I come across a game that makes me stare because of how moving it looks. I can see where you are coming from. But what other games have behind the scenes shots like this:Snatch1414 wrote:Not to be a downer but when I saw it in motion it kind of just reminded me of one of those early '90s PC games for kids.

It's Motoi Sakuraba, of course it's gonna be good!RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Didn't expect Golden Sun to have as awesome of a musical score as it seems to have thus far (45 mins in)
Actually, something I never put together because I'm an idiot is that Mario Tennis has very similar music. Might have something to do with being Camelot and that Sakuraba fellow again.
Seriously, listen to this stuff!
