That hurts me to read.Snatch1414 wrote:I actually know a coworker that bought The Last of Us and only played the multiplayer. He's a straight up real-life version of that casual gamer you always hear about (only buys COD, Madden, and NHL every year), but wow. Even that stunned me about LOU. I haven't played the game myself but I still can't believe it.

This is something we finally get to do in a Batman game:

So this is really fascinating. Those Batmobile limited editions that everyone has been going crazy trying to find a copy to pre order(I ended up getting one off ebay)? They'v ALL been recalled.

Ugh
Arkham Knight feels like it was made by the same team that did Origins

It actually looks more rough than Origins in some ways. Some of the Batmobile things I've seen have looked incredibly tedious.
Maybe the formula was and still is just a bit worn out? City ended on a note that really didn't leave me with much desire for a new one anyway.

Older. Not wiser.

Ok so I was one of the idiots who went to gamestop for the midnight release(though only the second time I've done something like that for a game). I've got to admit i've not played the earlier titles(they're sitting on my shelf and I intend to get to them eventually), but i'm actually enjoying this immensely so far. Sure I've gotten a decent ways in it but man this one if i keep at it is obvious if you're a completionist, it's going to take awhile to beat(at least it will for me since i miss the obvious stuff I can interact with. But definitely fun even though it has a 3.5gb update once you put it in a ps4 :-\

It's not as well put together as previous titles. There's a lot of cool new stuff you can do, but it lacks a certain level of polish. Plus, Gotham feels so dead. It's not like Arkham City where there is always stuff going on.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:It actually looks more rough than Origins in some ways. The Batmobile has clunky controls and has horrible, overly sensitive handling. It honestly feels like the game could have used another month or two of development just to fine tune it. And the tank battles get old QUICK. They are annoying, repetitive and just downright boring.
The first Riddler mission is a race within an obnoxiously designed obstacle course. In order to get an upgrade point for Batman you have to finish it with a 3 star rating under an absurd time limit. Took me TWO FUCKING HOURS to get that 3 star rating. That's the FIRST race mission in the game.
The stealth sections are really half assed and under designed from what I've played so far.
Also, you need a faq for this. There are so many secondary missions where they never clue you in on where you need to go in order to make progress with them.
Right now I'd put this as the second worst Batman game after Origins. That's not to say it's awful. It's very much an Arkham game with all the good that comes with that, but it's not as well put together as it should be and the Batmobile often seems clumsily shoehorned into the game.
I'm starting to think the Origins team got a lot of undeserved shit, cause it's not like Arkham Knight blows it away.

Well, I'm glad I waited - granted, being a PC gamer, I've learned to always wait when it comes to these sort of games. Still, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City both had pretty solid PC ports, so it's kinda surprising hearing about all the framerate issues. Moreover, the game apparently just doesn't work with AMD cards, and that's what I'm running.
Re: Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady (XB1, PS4, PC)
@gamer while I will admit it's rough, that controls are touchy, and tank battles are repititive, I don't see those bugging me as much as they do you. Though some of those side missions can be irksome especially that riddler race(which someone with better control of the vehicle probably can do it better), and the fact that some missions don't tell you where to go to complete it. But so far there's only about 3 that I've seen that do that:
- Riddler(for the trophies and a few other things, but in the grid part of it he does give some clues where to find the stuff, and at least for the catwoman side-side mission he is more direct with where to go)
- firemen - this one kinda makes sense that they don't tell you where to go since none of the police or even the ones that you rescue even know what happened to the others
- Strange Murderer - listen for opera music is seriously the only clue they give

I enjoyed Origins. It was basically more of the same, and that was fine by me.
I still like the structure of the first game the best, though.
