I went through their Dreamcast collection, and most of the prices were on target, if not between the completed eBay auction ranges. I had no idea Fur Fighters went so far down in value, that used to be a crazy expensive game.
The only issue I'd have with a site like this is the quality of the games. Marks and bad labels on cartridge games, scratches and bad cases on the disc games, etc.

Looks like they are only selling some of the more common games. Not much of a selection.

Apparently judging by my quick look at eBay, if a copy of Shenmue comes complete with the useless Passport disc it's pushing a hundred bucks. I kind of assume it's usually in there since a lot of people never did anything with it.ninjainspandex wrote:Hey at least Gamestop isn't price gouging Shenmue haha, only $30

My local retro video game store has decided to go out of business because of this announcement
Re: Gamestop NOW Selling Retro Classics
That's silly. This only brings more attention to "classic" games. Competition is also healthy.samsonlonghair wrote:My local retro video game store has decided to go out of business because of this announcement
Pick up a jaw bone and give them a pep talk to stay in business.
Re: Gamestop NOW Selling Retro Classics
I didnt even realize the timing, but a local store that had been in business for far longer than I expected due to the selection/price/atmosphere of the store just closed also. I wonder if it has anything to do with this...and I wonder what happens to an entire store of games...samsonlonghair wrote:My local retro video game store has decided to go out of business because of this announcement

I'm pretty confident that the good one near here will be fine. Their prices on newer items are comparable to Gamestop (and in many cases, better), and most of their retro offerings are quite reasonable, often quite a few dollars less than typical ebay asking price. *crosses fingers*
