Its definitely not a negative, but I meant its not a "wow" thing. Its more like a nice bonus.

Go here to vote for your most wanted 360 titles. (hint hint: vote for Deathsmiles)

The way they're doing it is nice though. I mean, sure, you can get HD remakes and all that, and I'm sure it'll let them pad the console's library with digital copies of 360 games.

That said, it does also mean they're spending development money to let customers play games they already own, or may get used for $5, that kind of thing. Hard to really make that a negative.
While it is getting touted right now, and they seem to be really gung ho about it, I'm scared it will go the way of OXbox BC on 360. A decent amount of stuff will be playing, but there will be games flat out not playing, or some playing with glitches/issues.

I guess it just depends on how much they stick to it.
I'm concerned about the availability of certain licensed games and de-listed titles that I own.

That list has a lot of surprises. I didn't imagine people wanted COD from the past, as the more recent ones are more or less the same game with updated graphics and game mechanics.

Well people love the old titles. They each have their own content that makes them unique and worth playing to this day. Although I believe them keeping online play enabled certainly made the CoD games jump to the top.

So Xbox One has sold only a 100 units/week . What reasons can you come up with for these disappointing numbers?

Source? That seems really low.

But as for reasons...

1. The "no used games" debacle.
2. Initially required always-on Kinect
3. Initially higher price due to Kinect (vs PS4)
4. High failure rate of the 360 probably turned off some people as well

Japan.

Xbox has always been extremely niche there. At least looking at VGChartz's numbers, there were 153 Xbox Ones sold there last week (or whatever their weekly total is from). Out of around 65,000 sold globally.

The Xbox brand in general does a lot better in the U.S. Here, the 360 wound up being the best selling console of the last generation, and Xbox One sales are nipping at the heels of PS4 sales.

Ok that makes more sense. I can think of a few reasons it is doing bad over there.

1. Consoles in general sell poorly in Japan. Portables are far more popular.
2. Lack of JRPGs.
3. Poor marketing.
4. The other reasons I listed above.

Could MS turn things around in Japan? Maybe. Will they? Probably not. They just don't seem to care about and/or understand the Japanese market.

Sorry, I thought I wrote Japan somewhere in there. But Japan is a huge market for videogames, you always see sales numbers in US, Europe, Japan, and rest of the world. Microsoft can't be ignoring it not to mention most of the games are shared between the PS4 and the XboxOne. Lets not forget that Japan is also home to the biggest publishers/developers in the videogames world.
