It's funny their name came up because I'm playing Metal Gear Rising right now and I like the game for its straight-forward action, but when I saw they made it I was disappointed in a weird way. It didn't detract from the fun I'm having with MGR, but upon connecting the dots I didn't really feel like I needed to play Bayonetta at all. I feel like I'm playing it right now.

Metal Gear Rising plays a good bit differently from Bayonetta, at least from the small amount of time I put in. It's got an overall Platinum feel to it, but Bayonetta has a lot more in common with the Devil May Cry series.

FWIW, I didn't follow E3, but I thought he wasn't grumpy. He was just hitting too close to home to people who do get excited, and that upsets some folks.
This, his videos are very well made and thought out, but to those who still get excited about video games like a kid at Christmas, he may come off as a wet blanket. And until right before E3, I was feeling rather the same way. Gaming was looking a little bleak, especially Japanese gaming.
Im glad when i see people get this excited for a game because, like you said, in the last couple of years of gaming when was the last time you actually get excited for something. I like to find joy on small things i guess. As long they don't jump on pre ordering the special super limited edition of FF7-Re for seeing a 40 second cinematic trailer im ok with people acting like children when they see it.

The fighting games are decent, some of them at least. Why they didn't try to make a actual beat'em up/brawler that is actually fun? I have no idea.

It's really ironic that you say that, at least for me. I enjoyed MGR quite a bit more than Bayonetta. Bayo felt like a mess to me, and honestly both of them combined are still nowhere as fun as DMC is to me.

Looks sweet

These in particular look really interesting to me

I was a bit down on the Hotline Miami sequel, but I still believe in this company's ability to put our really interesting titles worth checking out and I'm so down with their indie, retro flavor.

What's weird though and I know it's probably been said before, but with the remakes/sequels we're getting now what with R&C, FF7(which i know is popular but I never had that and kinda wonder if i should hold out for the remake....), and heck even Shenmue III for those that were fans of that series, i'm starting to wonder if some of the companies have wisened up somehow? This is not normal for these companies to really give people what they've been asking for, for years

Am i the only one kinda hoping Mario Maker has a built in campaign with all the different graphic designs used?

Or built in Mini games like Mario Paint had, return of the swatting game and use of the stylus instead of mouse!?

I saw a few weird buttons in Mario Maker that I had no idea what they would do and I can only imagine do some whacky things. The guy who made Mario Paint is working on this as well, so I wouldn't put it past them.

As for built in campaigns, there isn't per se, but there is a ton of content that will be available for us to play when it launches.

It's funny because the link has no context and probably is some sort of gross out video.
