This game can be had for $10 used all around the SF bayarea. I just picked up a nice used copy with very little wear. Come to think of it all the "modern" shooters (R-type final, Chaos Field) I have purchased recently were about $10.
After a few phone calls, I had a gamestop ship it to the local store. The internet listed its price as 9.99, with their magazine discount card I got it for 7.99. No box or instructions, but it is Gradius V. I played it for a little past the first boss, excellent game. I can totally tell Treasure made it to, one particular set of ships seems to have walked out Ikagura. Stuff just flies everywhere, its amazing. Excellent game, at least from the first stage I played.
Game traveled almost a hundred miles to me, and I'm happy with it. It's like Gradius, but made by Treasure.
