No worries, chief. There are plenty of Americans who say "news don't" too.

Why "doesn't"? "News don't matter" is appropiate, right? So why "doesn't"?
News don't matter is grammatically incorrect. News is always treated as a singular, not a plural. You might here people say 'news dont matter' I guess, but it would be exceptionally colloquial.
That would be "hear," not "here."

I noticed it immediately and corrected it, but you were too fast

You know, I never got homonyms mixed up at all when I was at school, but I do it CONSTANTLY when typing now. As a bit of a grammar snob, it upsets me that I'm making such a stupid mistake so often.

It is weird. Bruce tried to pass himself off as something he knew he wasn't, so what is the diff? (yes, I just asked what is the diff?). And what the fuck people, what does "trying to be black" mean? There are "articles" about "White people trying to be black". Really? Do you think black people act like Vanilla Ice and Iggy? We're taking a huge step backwards due to the way we report news.

Yes, I get it. There is police brutality and lots of black people in prison. But constantly revving people up with headlines of "White Cop, Black person" is stupid. I'd even settle for "Dumb cop does something dumb ", but the media is constantly instigating race wars. Pointing fingers without providing solutions nor insight is bush league but is also the norm.

Has not Bruce been a liar too? Of course he has. And I'm far from a dunce when it comes to gender identity issues. My Sister literally wrote the book on it. But both of these people are being who they think they are. One shouldn't be praised, nor should one be prosecuted.

I'm just baffled because I didn't realize until now. Normally I'm aware of this stuff even if I keep saying it wrong

Ok, time to modify the soundbite, then

Gah, I know I want a popular car model, but the fact that I can't seem to find one for a decent price is aggravating. I'm not paying 10K for a rust bucket, and neither is anybody with half a brain.

Wow, the news out of South Carolina... I'm sure nothing positive will come out of this. At least the guy is already caught.

Race relations in the US have really gotten worse over the last 10 years.

I don't think so at all. I think, rather, that we are just starting to acknowledge issues that were always there. That is the first step toward addressing and remedying them, and IMO, that is a good thing.

Also, and based on my personal experience only, I think that our society value diversity much, much more than it has in the past, and again, I think that is a good thing.

Well, you are clearly a liberal.

I love that about you.

Also, I agree.

From '93 to '04, there was no mass racial violence in the US that I can recall. Then in '05 we had Katrina, then a few years later Travonne, Mark Brown and the riots in Ferguson that still flare up once in a while, the Baltimore riots, the shooting just now, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get some more riots from this event. It really doesn't seem to me like things have gotten better, or that they're getting better.

If these conflicts are the result of addressing longstanding problems, they're ineffective conflicts. All I see is both sides getting more fed up with each other. A lot of blacks feel like they're targeted, and a lot of whites are sick of what they feel is a double standard regarding white-on-black violence vs black-on-white.
