I have a friend who does this shit, and its not just about games. Very annoying.

If most people like a given thing, he'll go an elaborate rant about how terrible it is and how mystified he is that anyone enjoys it at all.

If most people dislike said thing, guaranteed he'll consume it and love it and tell you all the reasons why its actually great, whether you asked or not.

He's just a contrary person. Its also kind of funny though, because I'm convinced he doesn't realize it.

My favorite part of those kind of people is when they tell you they're not contrary at all.

If it helps, I read that Nintendo said you can choose the gimmicky motion controls / cockpit view through the Gamepad screen or traditional controls for the new Star Fox game.

For anyone wondering, the big KI announcement tonight was that Season 2 Story Mode is being released effective immediately. If Season 3 is going to be a thing, they are probably saving that announcement for EVO or Gamescom.

I feel like I'm giving an ex a second chance with this game, but it seems to be returning to a lot of its roots. Back when Tomb Raider wasn't Uncharted with a chick
Back to when it was Indiana Jones with a chick.
It wasn't that back in the old days, though people loved to generalize it that way. Uncharted went much more the Indiana Jones direction.

I had a best friend like this for many years. Anything you said to this guy, he would immediately try to find a contrary opinion to retort with. It was like he thought every time anyone said anything to him, he was being assaulted by an argument. It eventually got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't have any discussion with him without him trying to turn it into a damned debate. Eventually I started doing to him what he did to everyone else, countering everything he said with an opposing contrary opinion. He took great offense to this and started resenting me for it. Anyway, long story short, we're no longer friends. I don't miss him or his ridiculous 24/7 Devil's advocate nature.

I'm glad I'm not a SW/BF fan because this will probably disappoint a lot of the diehards.

ugh not reassuring. This has gone from one of my most anticipated games of the year, to slowly diminishing with each bit of leak that comes out on it. :\

I hope Battlefront ends up being great, but I was very concerned last year when they said it was a ground only affair. Before 3 was canceled you could fly to and from the surface, there'd be a space battle going on at the same time. Really sucks that they didn't include something like that.

It looks like Nathan is doing some E3 floor reporting for IGN this year.

I love it.

The Hoth battle in that video looked pretty epic, however once the Star Wars shine fades off the game would I care?

My previous experience with Battlefield (3) goes like this:

Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, respawn.

Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, respawn.

Run half a mile, jump into a plane, laugh at the controls, get out.

Run half a mile, get shot by a sniper, trade in game.
