What guide should I use Bogus? Right now I am using the official Prima guide.

One of the greatest guides I have ever seen for any game. So thorough, including all the profile information that was on the passport disc that you can't see anymore.

None of these floored you?BoneSnapDeez wrote:I like Shenmue. I also greatly appreciate dish's dissenting opinions. There are plenty of 5th/6th gen sacred cows that I strongly dislike myself. And it's easy to see how someone could dislike Shenmue.
Yu Suzuki developed some decent games, but nothing of his has ever floored me completely.

I mean, I know Yu isn't at the helm for a number of these, but he definitely was involved for a lot of them! I don't think one can refute Outrun, Daytona, Virtua Fighter 2, After Burner, Hang-On, Space Harrier, Virtua Racing as being a great portfolio.
BMF: I've never seen the horrible scene you're referring to. But I have won the amazing Duck races!

Use the guide I mentioned just a post earlier and you can see everything! Also, the guide offers lots of cultural information to help foreigners. It is absolutely fascinating! It also tells you what capsule toys are in what vending machines and a check list for your collections. That guide is absolutely awesome!Blu wrote:None of these floored you?BoneSnapDeez wrote:I like Shenmue. I also greatly appreciate dish's dissenting opinions. Based on how incredibly negative most of your posts on the summer game challenge thread have been lately, I just assumed you strongly disliked everything post-16 bit at this point.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I like Shenmue. Ha I hear you I hear you. There's just something about the atmosphere of the first one, the ground it broke, and I loved the stuff with Nozomi.BogusMeatFactory wrote:

No way is Shenmue better than II! You are crazy! There is so much more going on and the game has so many secrets and side activities.

Nice dude, just snagged a good condition copy off Amazon for $12 shipped, they seem to be $30 on EbayBogusMeatFactory wrote:The Shenmue Versus Books' Perfect Guide.ninjainspandex wrote:What guide should I use Bogus? Right now I am using the official Prima guide.

I actually see where BSD is coming from. Yu develops a lot of games that aren't necessarily in my wheelhouse. If you like that kind of stuff, then yeah, it's a pretty impressive body of work... but really, none of his stuff floors me either.
I'm happy that this got funded, though! Question becomes now whether it beats out IGA.

Nah, I like plenty of newer stuff...... My 360/PS3/Wii U are always hooked up... but generally speaking I prefer 3rd/4th gen the most.
And most of my Summer Challenge trash-talkin' was more related to poor "classic" choices than bashing games themselves.
