This is seriously the first Xbone game to interest me. Still not worth the $400 console purchase, but if we keep seeing compilations like this I may change my mind.

Re: Xbox One
I agree, but I'm not sure how much is 343's fault or the fact that Halo has simply had its day and just isn't anything special anymore. I think for almost everyone the pinnacle was either Halo 2 or 3. After that it was either more of the same or an attempt to be like COD, which makes me want to puke. I actually don't mind COD but the two should exist in separate spaces with separate innovations. If an alien landed in my living room and told me there were going to be loadouts in the Halo series, I don't know which event would leave me more dumbstruck.Xeogred wrote:The Halo 5 trailer did nothing for me. I don't think 343 has the magic Bungie had previously with the series, I really can't say I was a fan of 4 and this looks like it's heading more in that weird direction that just... doesn't seem very Halo-like.
Recore looks legit.
343 may be a really good developer, maybe not, but I think what originally made Halo special (great enemy AI, dual-wielding, huge atmospheric battles going on around you) are now par for the course, and they haven't been able to ratchet up the innovation since then.
Even the story sucks now. I never thought it was great, but it was interesting enough at first. Halo 4's boiled down to "We have to hurry up and put this thing in that other thing to save world. Also, Cortana is dying. That's right. A computer program is dying. A computer program."

Just think how much al of those games would have cost if you purchased them all new at the time of release?! Accounting for inflation, you probably would have spent over $2000 on all of those games. The Xbox One is a deal!BoneSnapDeez wrote:![]()

Will the Killer Instinct port be the arcade version (as opposed to the SNES version)? If so, that would be the first time a copy of that game is available in physical form.girlracer wrote:luckily i already have an xb1 and prob own most of those games including conkers bad fur day but i will totally get rare replay for $30 day one.

Also, has Microsoft announced whether it is doing anything with the Battletoads IP? Between their appearance in Shovel Knight and the new Battletoads artwork on display related to this collection, it looks like it may be moving that way...(which, I think, is a great idea).

I've been saying a beat em' up done with the new Killer Instinct engine would be absolutely amazing for Battletoads.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Will the Killer Instinct port be the arcade version (as opposed to the SNES version)? I would maybe do a 180 if that happened.
Re: Xbox One
I feel this is the real launch of the next gen. consoles. Microsoft is getting their act together which reminds me of the PS3 launch. Rare Replay is easily worth $60 if not $100 but I bet its to lure people into buying the Xbox console.
The backward compatibility is not a big deal any more. It only counts if it will play the whole library. Many of the big games are getting remakes and new releases and I think people are finally putting the 360 console to sleep and are done with it.
The Gears of War remake made me feel seriously old. They are releasing it for the nostalgia effect, can't believe its 9 years since its release. It would definitely feel retro to an 11 year old who is now 20 and in college.

The way they're doing it is nice though. I mean, sure, you can get HD remakes and all that, and I'm sure it'll let them pad the console's library with digital copies of 360 games.RCBH928 wrote: The backward compatibility is not a big deal any more. That said, it does also mean they're spending development money to let customers play games they already own, or may get used for $5, that kind of thing. Hard to really make that a negative.

Re: Xbox One
While it is getting touted right now, and they seem to be really gung ho about it, I'm scared it will go the way of OXbox BC on 360. A decent amount of stuff will be playing, but there will be games flat out not playing, or some playing with glitches/issues.isiolia wrote:The way they're doing it is nice though. I guess it just depends on how much they stick to it.
