Don't let it stop you. It'll probably be a while before the game launches, and you'll get to experience seeing the new graphics with the original in mind along with the rest of us.RCBH928 wrote:Not sure how to feel about the FF7 HD remake. I was just about to start playing this game...

Yeah well have you beaten King of Fighters 94, Acky? Have you?!?!?!?!?!Ack wrote:Actually it's rather easy. Haha, no. I find the depiction of America totally racist in KOF '94.
Still own it for my MVS though. Maybe I'll actually play it someday.

It's going to be a completely new experience. There is no way a remake of something from 2-3 generations ago is going to be nothing more than a face lift. For better or worse, we'll have to see when it comes out. Until then, enjoy the original game because it's not going anywhere.BoringSupreez wrote:Don't let it stop you. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So, my buddy and I have been nerding out over e3 and the future of gaming all night at work, and we got on the topic of hologen and VR.
The idea that spawned from this had us both giddy. Imagine a D&D-like setting. The DM is using hologen to constantly move and build a dungeon, while the other players are using VR to be within the dungeon. The DM could even have a mic headset to give ominous narrator-style story and direction.
I know it would be a ways off, but this would be the coolest thing. It wouldn't even have to be limited to a D&D setting, just the idea of having a live game master with instant control over what is happening in your virtual space is so cool to us.

Hey, you made me check and I discovered there's a new game in the series. That blew my mind too!

That would be great, and there would be combat animations and all just like Star Wars Chess....or I guess the monster battle thing they play on the Millennium Falcon that I can't remember the name of because my Star Wars cred is failing me at the moment.dunpeal2064 wrote:So, my buddy and I have been nerding out over e3 and the future of gaming all night at work, and we got on the topic of hologen and VR.

The simple thought I originally had was RTS games, Civ, and the like. With Holo Lens, MS could pretty much have anything coming out on PC developed for Xbone as well, which would be a huge leg up and maybe a game changer. I am fully confident based on their track record that they are completely blind to this potential.

Holotable or Dejarik depending on how deep in the fandom you want to go.Snatch1414 wrote:I guess the monster battle thing they play on the Millennium Falcon that I can't remember the name of because my Star Wars cred is failing me at the moment.
Its a sobering realization when one of your wife's "hardcore gamer" friends comes over, sees your trade pile, and says that it is bigger than his entire collection. Then again, he did not know that PC games use to come in big boxes...
