So...I haven't seen any discussion of SEGA's role in all of this? They hold the license, yes? So what arcade games can we expect to play in game?
Will Ryo finally get to play Virtua Fighter on his anachronistic Saturn?
Incidentally went to Yokosuka for the second time a few years back and was saddened to find that the Arcade there (Which heavily resembled the one in Shenmue) had closed down.

Suzuki has mentioned in the past that he would and could go on his own without the need for Sega.Betagam7 wrote:So...I haven't seen any discussion of SEGA's role in all of this?

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter
I think I would go as far to say that, this wouldn't have happened if Sega still had any say. Because of course, Sega originally developed what is now commonly known as Konami Syndrome. Where you scorch all earth behind you and destroy any project license people are actually interested in. Many studios seem to suffer from this to varying degrees.
:3
Of course, I'm probably entirely wrong.

[Shrieks unintelligibly, foams at the mouth, trips over pants as they fall down around ankles, flails arms wildly, blacks eyes and bloodies nose with flailing arms, while attempting to stand up accidentally falls out of window into bush; questions quality of graphics, gets in a fight with the local authorities]
Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter
I was work when I found out via FB friends. I was like "Don't fuck wit me mang".
I work in a convenient store.
I saw the trailer on my fone. I got emotional. But then I got agitated and had like so many emotions. I got inside the store freezer to cool off and began punching produce from the excitement and the thought finally handing Lan Di that ass whoopin' after 14 years!
I stilll can't believe it.
And its already at 1.5 Mil O.O

We truly live in the best of times.
I haven't played Shenmue since I was a kid and the Dreamcast was still around. I probably should.

And its still going. At this rate, it'll reach its goal of 2mil in less than 24hours.
I wish I was able to donate
I was just playing this game on Friday at my local game center. I love Shenmue series so much.
