While BC isn't that big of a thing, not having anything to show against it is a bit disappointing.

Of course, until I see one of the inevitable side-by-side comparisons, I can't be sure. Interested to see what Nintendo is hiding up its sleeve.
Oh, think they both had good showings, Sony's offering just interests me so far. What with all the early news, I didn't think either of them would show anything that impressed me today, but I was wrong, so good on them.

I do hope Nintendo brings their A-game tomorrow. They're going to need it.

The sad thing is, I'm excited about the BC on Xbox One ONLY because there's NOTHING I want to play on it. I'm happy that I can put the 360 in the closet and free up some entertainment center space...as I've been debating even keeping the Xbox One out on display at all when the 360 had more stuff on it I could see myself playing.

but the BC will roll out slowly. First batch is only 30 games, and not an amazing selection. Just saying, don't put the 360 away yet.

I am gonna say, you may or may not be delusional. There was Last Guardian, Horizons, Uncharted 4, Final Fantasy VII HD Remake, Shenmue III, Dreams, Streeight Fighter V and more! The XboxOne conference said 100 x360 titles will be backwards compatible at the end of the year and showed games we were all aware of like Gears of War, Halo etc. We didn't see anything that we weren't aware of already. It wasn't a bad showing form Microsoft, but it pales in comparison. I may even say the announcements done at the PS4 conference may be better than Nintendo's showing and you know me!

Unless Nintendo pulls a Mother 3 announcement out of the rectum of a Ness amiibo, I think you may be right.

OMG I go to dinner and come back to a Shenmue III announcement?!?!?! I had to check the calendar to make sure that I didn't fall into a time warp to April 1st. And to see that the kick starter has already gotten more than 1/4 of the goal in what an hour? Now is the time for all of us to put up, we all wanted this, and now by some miracle, its happening. Debating on which tier I want to pledge to, but definitely going for one of the $100 + levels. This news has eclipsed all other E3 news from today.

I think from both the perspective of a pure gamer and someone that might be interested in the business side of things, MS was good and Sony was maybe not spectacular, but better.

I liked some of the Xbox exclusive stuff. Backwards compatibility will benefit me at some point. I might be in a small minority but I'm really interested in the new controller. Sony brought the games like they always do, but Shenmue put it over the top for me, just like FFVII Remake probably did for others.

From a business standpoint I thought Sony getting the COD stuff early for the foreseeable future was a huge bullet point.

The great news? Everyone is going to have plenty to play. I have an Xbox One and might not get a PS4 until Shenmue III and I won't be hurting for stuff to play.

They're raping people with the donation levels, but it's not like that will stop me I guess. Having to spend $100 to get a hard copy PS4 is a little nuts. The $300 level is tempting. A copy signed by the man himself??

You know, I'm happy that FFVII is finally happening so folks can stop whining about it! It's a good game, but it's not great. At least for me. Announce a remake of Chrono Trigger, though...

...actually, scratch that. Chrono is pretty much perfect as it is. Let's go into sequel territory instead.

I also think it's cool that Shenmue 3 is a thing, but I'll skip that one, especially after dropping $100 on IGA's KS.

Well, you might be right. I'm just thinking- FF7 is not exclusive, just on PS4 first. Shenmue is also on PC, so it isn't as big of a deal. As one of my friends was texting me pointed out- while there's a lot of people who are excited, there's a bunch of people in the PS fanbase who don't know/care about Shenmue. Its great its coming, but I'm not excited.

And I feel like Microsoft pulled it a bit better on exclusives. Nothing we didn't expect, but they had more, and they seemed to through out quite a few indies.

I don't know though, if it all means good things for PS, I might finally jump the ship to it. I'm just scared it'll end like last generation, where I jump somewhere, and then it ends up losing a lot of steam, or just doesn't pull exclusives I'm interested in. 360 to PS3 jump was definitely interesting.
