Is it odd to have a flaming irrational hatred of certain things? For me one such thing is that kids show Caillou. The one with the little bald boy. Everything about it makes me downright homicidal.
I also outright despise that Charlie Brown piano song. You know what I mean - the one in all those life insurance commercials. Not sure why but for me it's like nails on a chalkboard.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I don't know if it's odd, but I have pet peeves too. Some are really weird. For example, the use of the word "baby" when advertisers are talking about an infant. Here's what I mean:BoneSnapDeez wrote:Is it odd to have a flaming irrational hatred of certain things?
Here's a nice hat for your child.
Here's a nice hat for your kid.
Here's a nice hat for baby.
For your family, let us insure a child.
For your family, let us insure a kid.
For your family, let us insure baby.
Hide your meth for the safety of the child.
Hide your meth for the safety of the kid.
Hide your meth for the safety of baby.
See what I mean?
For some reason I've seen many advertisers and column writers refer to someone's infant as "baby", without any definite article to define the baby as the person's own. It's just "baby". Who's baby is it? Everybody's baby? Maybe there's some special wackiness in the English language concerning the word "baby" that I don't know about, but this twee crap annoys the piss out of me.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Dude. I totally understand. (excuse my language, but it needs to be said and I need a tone)BoneSnapDeez wrote: I also outright despise that Charlie Brown piano song. You know what I mean - the one in all those life insurance commercials. Not sure why but for me it's like nails on a chalkboard.
I've been in trouble more than once because I can't fucking stand pachelbel's canon in d. It's worse than any song by any boy band. I can't help but say "Jesus...Really? FUCK!" when I hear it. It is the world's worst song. Rebecca Black's Friday is better on so many levels.
Thing is, it's tied to about every single fucking marriage I know. So when I say "I can't fucking stand pachelbel's canon, and anyone who plays it at a wedding" I end up insulting 99% of people. Fine with me because it's a horrible fucking song and I probably didn't want to go to your wedding full of cliche bullshit music because you've never taken the time to actually listen to classical music. Pachelbel's canon is the graduation song of marriage, and both suck balls full hoover. It's the most unoriginal song for what might be the best day of your life. Way to celebrate dumbasses.
Out of all of the songs in the entire world you go with "Doo-do do do, doo do doo, do de doody doody do"? If I could kill a song I'd start with pachelbel's canon and end with tubthumping.
And I've been to wedding where they play the song via speakers. Hello? Never mind that church organ or piano. And do you really want to see your bride coming out to music that almost everyone also chooses? Not make it special?
Fuck that song.
...whew. Sorry about that, but it had to be said.
Back to the random...
I usually dress formally. Tie clips, french cuffs, cuff links, the whole nine. Sometimes when someone sees me in casual clothes they're actually a bit shocked, which is weird because everyone wears a t-shirt and jeans at times.
I promise I'm going somewhere with this.
Today I'm wearing (not that you care) khakis, a blue v-neck, and Adidas hi-tops with no shoe laces. When I showed up to my weekly bible study, my brothers were in awe at my attire. And I know that very, very few people rock their Adidas without laces and that it probably looks goofy on me but I'm going to look goofy anyway so why not pay homage?
Hell, if you're going to dress down might as well go all out.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
See, I really enjoy that song because it was remixed into a kickass Pump It Up song (Canon D by BanYa) that has a ridiculously hard chart that I hope to one day beat.
