I'm looking forward to playing Skies of Arcadia which I've just heard good things about and I haven't played Hulk in years. GameStop use to have it as a kiosk game and I was able to try it but I hadn't played it since then. Both games have been up my most wanted list for a while.
Sorry to hear about your GameCube situation but nice that the Wii is available to act as a suitable replacement until then. I've had Gun for a long time and haven't had a chance to rectify that yet.
Since we've been talking about expensive games on the Gamecube that were 3rd party and releases on other consoles I remembered one that is on my want list but crazy expensive... Time Splitters: Future Perfect. The 2nd one, which I have, isn't very expensive and the first one is under $20 on both PS2 and Xbox but it regularly goes for between $40-50 on the NGC.
I had an Xbox and Dreamcast first and then the Gamecube and PS2. I am worried about the disc drive issue and I'll need to pick up some spare consoles which is why I really like the Everdrive situation though I don't know when or if we'll ever see a similar type device, in terms of what it does, for the cube.nightrnr wrote:The Gamecube used to be my console of choice for multi-platform games. I think this is because it was my 1st system of that generation (in other words, I chose it over a PS2 or Xbox at the time).jmbarnes101 wrote:Thanks for sharing everyone. For some reason I really like the Gamecube. It's a nice small console so it doesn't take up a lot of room, has a great controller and most importantly a bunch of fun games. From that era it's certainly my favorite console
I also viewed it as the most reliable of the 3. I'd hear about PS2 and Xbox drives dying left and right, but GC, almost never.
Nowadays, I am forced to acknowledge that the disc drive will not last on any system. So games available on all 3 systems I tend to lean towards the most convenient to get on a modded system (Xbox for me these days).
Recently, I have been looking into options for dumping my GC collection to a portable hard drivefor use on my Wii, so maybe it won't be an issue for me in the future.
Lastly, I saw pictures of a mini Animal Crossing Gamecube Standee on Nintendo Age today. That thing was epic. Does anyone have any Standees for this system?
