Good stuff. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is still one of my favorites, I just beat it again earlier this year after getting the WiiU VC release. I never considered what my experience with it could have been like if I did not own it.

The weirdest rental for me was probably Actraiser. I couldn't even read well at the time so my dad had to help read it all and we finished it together. The kicker is my dad was a religious nut growing up so I'm surprised this game wasn't returned immediately or something with all of its undertones and Deus Ex Machina story.

I was lucky and usually managed to get my hands on at least one Mega Man, though a few times I ended up with games like Might & Magic III, where I had no idea what I was doing and would repeatedly get my butt kicked.

Those were the good old days.

First, haha, I dig the intro.

And second...you forgive the game of quite a bit, but even as a comics fan, there are certain games I just don't like. I look forward to hearing your thoughts when you finally get around to the horror of Arcade's Revenge.
