If they offer you to resell the games digitally, they probably will never make crazy sales like $5 and $2.5 . I am guessing they can do licensing option like :
1- Play with out resell ($30)
2-Play the game with the option to resell the rights ($60)
then everyone will buy the first option I guess..
Also, I noticed people are being Good Guy Greg. GOG offers DRM free, but no one torrenting/pirating the games, they have a solid paying customer base. Which makes me conclude that the consumer is willing to pay if the prices/service are fair enough.

I assure you all games on GoG have a matching torrents, they are favoured by pirates because they are, by far the best options available and don't need anything other than the installerRCBH928 wrote:Also, I noticed people are being Good Guy Greg. Still, GoG is great and many people who would pirate games buy them thanks to their efforts.

Platforms that can/do utilize DRM also sell plenty of copies when the price is right.RCBH928 wrote: Also, I noticed people are being Good Guy Greg. IMO, the main consideration for a lot of that - though GOG in particular - is creating or maintaining a revenue stream that wouldn't have been there otherwise. Selling your game for a buck, to one out of five players, still beats out everyone trading used copies or pirating it and you not seeing a dime.

There will always be people who pirate, but if you set fair rules people will have less reason to break the law. I find it absurd, for example, to pay full price for a movie on iTunes then be locked to view it on Apple devices only.

"If you set fair rules people have less reason to break the law". This does not apply to pirates. Thieves? Possibly. But pirates? No.

"Slavic mythology isn't really a thing" was just uttered as part of an explanation of why The Witcher 3 is racist.

It helps not to distort the views of others before you criticize them.Firstly, Polish/Slavic mythology isn’t really a thing. You can’t talk about it in the same way as you talk about Norse mythology or ancient Greek or even Egyptian mythology. There is no concrete body of mythological lore you can print in a book, or use as a game setting.
The ancient Slavic people that roamed central and eastern Europe territories that we now recognize as Poland left virtually no written records. Most of their religious beliefs, customs, rituals and stories have been very successfully erased from history by the efforts of the Catholic Church. For example, there is no such thing as a Slavic people’s version of the creation myth. Doubtlessly such a myth must have existed, but we have no knowledge of it. It was lost to history. While we know of a handful of Slavic gods that were worshiped, most of what we know about them is based on conjecture based on analysis of the precious few stone and wooden idols that were not smashed or burned by the Inquisition, and church records.
