Well, yeah, they'll transition more into a merchandise store. The market has already demonstrated ravenous demand for certain types (Amiibo for instance).

When I worked at Software Etc, now Gamestop, we carried toys (McFarlane, etc) and anime as well. Also PC accessories and all that they barely carry now. Either way, not exactly new ground for them.

12,000 = $15.00 Used Game Coupon
---------------------------------------------------
3,000 Points Difference

Renewal with your earned points is a ripoff, so many take that convenience bait without realizing the 3,000 point markup. Currently a used game coupon for 12,000 points is worth $15.00 game purchase!

Best to just redeem the points on ANY used game.
The Bad
Due to the diminishing quantity (and quality CIB) games at Gamestop, I for now am not renewing my Gamestop Rewards card. The Wii rack at the stores are getting smaller and I have little desire for PS3 and 360 games let alone any of the newer current generation consoles.

The Ugly
I still have plenty of points left in my account teasing for a used game coupon or two. I have been holding out to find a CIB of Wii Super Mario All-Stars: Limited Edition. Every Gamestop location for this game or the Kirby Anniversary are only the game with case and manual. No bonus book, music CD or outer box! :?

The Good
I did find another CIB of Kirby Anniversary during a vacation trip four hours drive away. A rarity to find one so clean and complete, employee commented surprised no one had purchased it yet. Bought the game at full used price with plans of renewing my membership and redeeming a couple of coupons for a discount.
Gamestop has 7 day full refund policy on any used game, great for the redemption or finding a CIB copy at a later date.
The Outstanding
Proof that one can still find CIB treasures ever so often. Employee commented even though my membership is expired, I can still gain points on the game as well as use any redemption in my account!

Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition
$34.99 Used price
minus $7.00 (20% Coupon)
minus $15.00 (Coupon)
$12.99

Most Wii games are on the cheap, with many under five dollars. No need to renew membership since the 10% savings card will not make that much difference. Own Two CIB Kirby units and still looking for the Super Mario version.

Any cardboard boxed games and movies get the "comic book bag" treatment. Keeps the box crisp and still easy to remove for gameplay.

Could have sworn that I saw some here at my local gamestops for Super Mario all stars wii , last week, CRT GAMER.

One of the three had one with the box! I just cant remember which one. The games price makes it go over my radar.

call the stores down here where I live and see if it can be sent to you. You've done it before! Right? Ordering from different stores to send up to yours?

There are multiple stores in my area with it. I'm sure at least 2-3 have the box as well most people ignore it due to price. Not many who are willing to pay $50+ for a used game :P .

Got your PM for the area, Thanks! I have at least fifteen stores that carry the mario game all within 45 minute drive distance. Might go your suggestion if I come up empty over here. Every store so far has just the game CIB, no separate music CD with own DVD case or the outer cardboard box which is probably the rarest thing in the set! Gaaah, I wish BookOff takes over the gaming market.

I have been on the fence on this game since it has been costing more then the Kirby Limited Edition and with less games and extras on the disc. Might be worth getting by redeeming my remaining coupons.

Well I'm just waiting for a good deal in the wild around when Skyward Sword released I got the version of it with the CD, and the Kirby Collection complete for $10 each. Haven't bumped into a solid deal on the mario set though lowest I've seen it is $30. One day it will be mine though  .

Forgot about the 20% off birthday coupons gamestop gives out could have used it today :P. Got it printed off and ready to go for next time though.

Ended up splurging and spending my birthday money on a Xbox One today. Pawns had them for $270 taxes included and I got talked into it by a clerk  . Didn't think I would be back into this gen so soon after selling off my PS4. Ended up picking up Dead Rising 3 to test it out. Might pick up Sunset Overdrive with my 20% off coupon next time I go out.

Edit: DR3 luckily had a 3 day gold insert that was still good so I got MGS Ground Zero for free through gold as well.

You can refund and repurchase with your coupon if a used game within 7 days of the purchase. That is what I did with the Kirby game mentioned earlier after I got back home from vacation; used TWO coupons. Also, the coupon you printed is only good for a month or two.

I've mostly been buying sub $10 stuff so no point in using it on them will either get Sunset overdrive or the Master Chief Collection in prep for Halo 5.

Nothing wrong with the 29.99 used ones either. ;)
