I have completely lost interest in Amiibos.

This pretty much, i just want to casually walk into a retail store and buy them whenever.

All I want is Robin and Lucina then duck out. How the frig I'm going to get them I have no idea........

The next wave is Dark Pit, Palutena and......nothing? I don't know if they've added more or not. Far as I know it's those two in July, then four characters in September I don't have enough Nintendo love to care about. Figure this is a good time to give up if I can find these last to MFers.

You can, though! There are literally dozens of Amiibo waiting for you in the store!

...unless you already have Peach, Link, and Mario. It's the law of the streets for everything else.

Couldn't have been put better than that. I don't try, it just has to be there. I've noticed on amazon the formerly $80 Lil Mac is like in the $40s now. Hopefully the scalpers are falling away or losing out as people caught on.

I liked the Amiibo at first, then when I saw that they were just going to be scalper bait for the rest of their existance I quickly lost interest. Like others said, I want to just stop in the store and grab one on a whim, not plan/pre order/camp out to beat the scalpers.

What I don't get is that you go to any store that sells Amiibo/skylanders/disney figures and There will be half an isle dedicated to Skylanders and Disney, but the Amiibo section is a sliver on the shelf, with all the common ones mentioned a few posts ago. I wanted to grab the Splatoon set once I heard it added new gear and challenges, but I won't pay the scalper's prices.

Its strange that Nintendo has the ability to PRINT MONEY with these, but they artifically limit the stock, and screw over anyone who can't dedicate their life to grabbing each new wave. My wife was excited when she saw the Wool Yoshi and I told her it was a slim chance we would be able to snag that.

Stores cannot keep items stocked - why would they expend sweet sweet shelf space on a product that they know is going to go so quickly?

Eventually when there are more commons that stay in stock, the retail space share will expand.

Attempting to get amiibo is killing me all i wanted was pit and jigglypuff and wario for foxhound i don't have any cause i have no luck at all i wanted to get a villager for foxhounds groomsman but i can't afford to pay the prices scalpers are asking so i guess i will have to get him something else

I don't really care much for amiibos but I do get around alot to the local gamestops and game stores. If you all want to make a thread or post a list of stuff you are looking for I can keep an eye out for you if you don't mind paying the shipping.

Why is Wario so insanely overpriced?

I am at frys right now and they have at least 20 Wario.


Edit: and in light of my mini rant a few posts ago, I was able to score the inkling boy amiibo at frys a well, Only one on the shelf.

Ehh I think i'm going to go on a small spree and buy 4-5 of them off walmart(weird saying that with how horrible they usually are) online and just take the plunge with them and try to get some of the others next month....what are the ones anyways that are best to get now if you're going to get them there?

What do you mean by 'best to get' exactly? Unless you're a reseller you're picking the ones you want based on what's actually in stock and that's pretty much the end of it.

Well I kinda meant in a if I want it it would be a good idea to get it now. Since I know of the constant shortages of some of these that seem to keep happening. I don't want to pass on one and it end up being one that is hard to get later....
