Ehh I never really found him that annoying, infact I find the smack talking he does to be a nice reprieve from every day life most times when I have gone and attempted to play it....oddly enough I came up with my username using a combination of daxter and sparx

alienjesus wrote: First off, development teams back then were just as small as a lot of the Indie game dev teams now.

Secondly, and this is really bloody obvious, the equipment to make the games back in the early 90s was a damn sight more expensive than the programs most Indie devs use to make games now. A half decent computer can make a solid game using pretty much only free software. You can get free 3D modelling software, free image editing software and free game engines (Unity 3D). The development systems Rare had to use to create graphics for Donkey Kong country cost a ton, yet the average Windows laptop has more than enough power to do the same nowadays for a very affordable cost.

Do you just like asking the same dumb questions endlessly? It would only take a few seconds to think why this is the case.
I didn't know the teams were small. I always imagined there was a 10-20 man team just working on the Sega mascot. Also in my defense, the same technology advancement could be said about making films.

You will have to forgive me, I kind of have a memory problem. I over think things then I wonder if I ever did them or not. I can't tell if I posted this question before or have I been just thinking about it for sometime.

maybe I should talk less...

It helps that you have a crown for a reminder.

Don't post less on our account. I don't want to drive you away from the site on account of me being a grumpy git.

Looks like Nintendo got help from Square Enix on naming the newest Fire Emblem.

Everything I've read about the upcoming Fire Emblem makes it look like a train wreck in the making. Way too many cooks in that kitchen.

Yeah it definitely sounds like it's heading in the wrong directions.

It's a shame too, right after I became a fan of the series with Awakening. I think they are pulling a Japanese George Lucas and didn't undertand what made Awakening such a hit.
