Ah, all the cat owners! I understand this.

My cat gets separation anxiety when any door is closed, so we don't close them anymore. You leave the bathroom door ajar and wait for the cautious bump that pushes it open an inch, which she then squeezes through. Happens without fail.

Admittedly awkward in the bathroom whose door continues swinging inwards after it's nudged.

I've gotten so used to this that now when I come home from school or work and the cat is waiting at the front door for me, I say, "Venus -- family bathroom time? Family bathroom time?!??" and she starts off in a trot.

Well, it isn't really that easily summed up, if you are really interested it is only a page back from Apple's post. I'm sure there was more to it, but that seems to be the boiling point.

Yeah I guess that does make sense, heck I even remember a few months ago she was attempting to sell off some of her stuff for that move she made for a job she'd gotten...kinda sad that we're losing people like that. Though I'll admit I don't game as much as I'd wish either(I've still got to manage to balance my work/life again so I can and I need to buy a couple hdmi cords and make sure my stuff on the crt is hooked up again. That and I need to hook up my soundbar again and attempt to hook everything to that and clean up my cords...)

This morning one of my cats was waking me up, which consisted of a ton of nuzzling and flopping against me (she's a very physical kitty who enjoys rubs), and we're doing that for a while. Suddenly I hear a crow outside and she immediately jumps over me and snakes her way between the blinds and the window so she can find the bird. She got completely distracted from me.

I am not a cat person. But, I do love how much you love your cats.

I have owned a couple cats because my wife is a cat person. I must confess that one of them won me over. She was a "munchkin" I believe that's what they are called and she was always hiding under the furniture. However, if you ate anything with melted cheese she would creep her long furred stumpy legged self out and stand just as tall as she could to peek over the edge of your seat. She would let out the smallest little peep of a "meow" and wait. My wife would set a tiny piece of cheese on the seat and ever so gently Hazel (that was her name) would paw it towards her, over the course of a minute or so, then she would snatch it up and run. The cycle would repeat until all the cheese was gone. It was quite funny.

She could also be counted on to be sitting on our bar stool each night when I would come out to get a drink. I guess she was a bit of a night owl. Anyway, she would stare at me the entire time I got a drink or a snack in complete silence and then as I would turn to leave she would let a single whisper of a meow as if to say "goodnight" or "piss off" who knows? But, it did tickle me. Sadly, she passed. She was the only cat I was ever happy to have.

Since I'm sharing cat stories, my wife had another cat. An evil bastard of a cat. This little shit would be rubbing all on my legs purring and acting sweet to be let in, one paw in the door he would turn around hiss and scratch the hell out of me or bite my leg, then dart off to my chair in the living room and growl at me, daring me to have a seat. He loved my wife though, never sent her so much as a sideways look. I can't even manage to look back on him with fondness now. It didn't help that he had no tail and was giving me a full goat at all times. He was "gifted" to my in-laws, where he continues to be a spawn of satan.

The only bad part is, I still have to see him....and he remembers me.

I grew up with dogs and had always assumed I wouldn't get along with cats. This was largely due to my dad's insistence that the world could be divided cleanly between "dog people" and "cat people." He also thought that the latter were misguided souls deserving of eyerolls and comedic pity.

Flash forward to today, and I find myself a mamma cat of seven years to a rescue for whom my husband and I consistently risk dying in a fire to kennel up and evacuate every time the complex's alarm goes off.

Also, I found this really fun cat avatar maker, for anyone who wants to give their inhabitants a cute cartoon makeover.

I "like" cats and dogs - when they belong to other people.

The thought of animals living in my house is a nightmare to me.

We've got two cats, both rescues. We're fostering a dog right now. We've got another dog that we actually bought (boxer). I also have a bearded dragon that I inherited. I get annoyed at the loose dog & cat hair situation sometimes, I get annoyed when my cats wake me up at night (our dogs don't do this), but the love, companionship, and humor these guys bring is worth the trouble.
