What do you think - Good deal on CL?

Hey all, been lurking for awhile but this ad on craigslist is forcing me out of hiding. Tentatively going to meet up with this person tomorrow so I wanted to get some opinions. The lunar silver stories and the marvel vs. capcom caught me eye, so I figured at the very worst if I don't like either of them I can sell them off and essentially end up with a PS and a couple games for free. Anybody play through lunar?



For $75, it comes with:

2 controllers/cords and cables/2 memory cards (apparently the PS also comes with the original box)

Final Fantasy VIII,
Final Fantasy IX,
Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of the Superheroes,
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider II,
The King of Fighters '99,
Lunar Silver Star Story

If the condition on all the games is fine, and the ps1 comes in the box and works well then its not bad. Lunar on the ps1 without the original cardboard box and all the goodies that come inside is pretty much worthless without all that, however, both final fantasy games, lunar, mvc, and the ps in box is not a bad deal for the price. But like I said everything needs to be in good condition.

not bad but i would see if i could get it for $65 or so. its always worth trying to haggle a little. see if it will work. if not and u still really want it then just say.... "ah damn well i guess ill just have to walk for the next few days..." then take it off his hands. just a suggestion.

I'd say do it (sans the condition below). Your interest is obviously peaked enough to go through with it, and depending on your area, things on craigslist might have a high turnover rate. I live in/around one of the major cities in southern California, and items on craigslist have a pretty high turnover rate. I've lost more Craigslist postings than I care to admit over hagglings on price.

Definitely agree with the above posters on the condition aspect though. If you wouldn't be proud to own the items in the condition they're in, then I'd pass.

I decided to pass. The lunar didn't have the goodies as mentioned above, and she wouldn't come down on the price. Plus it was a solid 30 min drive on a car with a malfunctioning tire. I guess I'll just have to use the money I would have spent on the games and use it to buy a new tire
