What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I'll have to agree with Exhum I hate being that guy with no one to go to the movies with...if i'm going to go it's usually with my dad and very rarely my mom...I just hate being alone in a theater with people i don't know and it's nice being able to talk to someone I know every once in awhile during the movie...

It's probably harder for you, always getting mistaken for Giovanni Ribisi. No paparazzi for us normal folks.darsparx wrote:I'll have to agree with Exhum I hate being that guy with no one to go to the movies with...if i'm going to go it's usually with my dad and very rarely my mom...I just hate being alone in a theater with people i don't know and it's nice being able to talk to someone I know every once in awhile during the movie...

Oddly enough I've never heard that or gotten confused for him until I posted that pic here and no one has ever mentioned it in real life..jp1 wrote:It's probably harder for you, always getting mistaken for Giovanni Ribisi. No offense, but I had some young kid sitting to my right when I saw Age of Ultron commenting on everything in the movie to the person sitting next to him and I wanted to punch himdarsparx wrote:I'll have to agree with Exhum I hate being that guy with no one to go to the movies with...if i'm going to go it's usually with my dad and very rarely my mom...I just hate being alone in a theater with people i don't know and it's nice being able to talk to someone I know every once in awhile during the movie...
Anyway, I saw Mad Max alone and loved it. I even made it a point to go to a showing where there wasn't that many people there. I sat where I wanted and didn't have any one around me distracting me. I loved it.

Heh, yeah...I'm just poking fun, though I still think you favor him. I would consider that a compliment by the way, but I'm a fan of his. I'm sure the two of you are distinguishable by age alone.darsparx wrote:Oddly enough I've never heard that or gotten confused for him until I posted that pic here and no one has ever mentioned it in real life..jp1 wrote:It's probably harder for you, always getting mistaken for Giovanni Ribisi. Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I don't mean that kind of commenting, it's just that i did the whole "alone" thing once and it's strange since I'm still really used to going to movies with someone otherwise I'll stick to netflix/hulu for anything else...Gamerforlife wrote:No offense, but I had some young kid sitting to my right when I saw Age of Ultron commenting on everything in the movie to the person sitting next to him and I wanted to punch him

Assuming there's something worth watching I like to catch a show on Saturday around 11ish; the theater doesn't have many people and I get a good seat. I get food and that's lunch for the day. I've never understood that "I don't want to do X alone" mentality. if you wanna do something fun then do it. If you've got cool people in your life who want to join you that's great, otherwise do it on your own.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
My personal preference is to have company, but I don't mind going to movies by myself. When I was at school, there was a small dine-in theatre less than a block away from where I lived. They'd frequently get art house movies, limited release stuff (a month or so after it was officially released) and the occasional mainstream flick (Seriously, Twilight? WTF, guys?).
It was a habit of mine to head over there every other week or so try to watch something I normally wouldn't go to. There were a few times I had company, but 90% of the time I was by myself and I loved it. I loved that place. Some people called it a hole in the wall, but I called it cozy

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Well most action movies/kid(which the kid ones tend to be the revival of old series or some others my dad is interested in) I tend to see with my dad anyways. Though I'm certain my dad wouldn't watch Adele Blanc-sec(even if it's the French Indiana Jones IMO), and I don't think the english version is acceptable(awful job syncing up the voices to the actors mouths since english words don't fit with the dialogue very well). So yeah any movie like that it's just easier to watch alone at home
