Nash, 86, and his 82-year-old wife Alicia were killed when their taxi crashed in New Jersey.

For all our faults and errors, we are still an interesting species indeed. He did suffer in his life but he also achieved a lot for humanity.

I'm typing this message from Bluefield, WV where John Nash was born. There's a road named for him here. The arts and science center used to display a board game that John Nash designed to teach game theory. A lot of locals are talking about this. Nash is certainly the only Nobel prize winner from Bluefield.

How tragic to lose both of them in once accident. But now neither one of them has to spend a day without the other.
