Now that we found out us PC players of SF4 have to wait until summer instead of next week to play the game, I am wondering what SF game is your favorite to bide the time until SF4.
I plan on practicing for SF4 and am not sure which one I should play so: Knowing that there are multiple versions of each series (about three for each series) what series is your favorite?
Oh, and feel free to post up your favorite version of the series you voted for.

I actually voted for the VS. series..If you meant like Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom as street fighter games then those are definetly my favorites. But other than that I really love Street Fighter III 3rd Strike.

Voted for the Alpha series, as it's really what got me to play fighters on home consoles to begin with. Good times dropped into Alpha 2, oh man, good times.

I picked Alpha because it was real easy to get into a fluid fighting style and it didn't take days to do it either.

I think that Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is the definitive Street Fighter in the II series. It's well balanced for the most part and I like the game speed. I never dug the III series. The parry system turned me off. I used to play the Alpha series religiously but it feels stale when I go back and play it now. The VS series is so far removed from the traditional Street Fighter game play that I don't really consider it Street Fighter at all. I always thought the EX series was horrible.
