I'm nearing the end of Metroid Fusion. I have to say that I've really enjoyed playing this game. With the exception of that stressful, but aptly named nightmare boss, it's been a real treat.

Make sure you play Metroid: Zero Mission too. It does everything Fusion does but even better and is twice as long. Absolutely marvelous game.

Absolutely. I want to get this one as well. It's actually the last one I need to finish off my Metroid collection.

Good to know, it's on my Summer Games List.
So is Shenmue actually, which I've seen a few people talking about aswell. Clearly I am a trendsetter.

Shenmue is an interesting experience but not a good game. Certain parts of it are intriguing, but then you have to find sailors or race forklifts (way more annoying than it sounds, you'll see). The game pulls off an impressive atmosphere but too often forgets to actually be fun to play. (I don't know if that fits Shenmue 2, because I haven't played it yet.) I think the first two Yakuza games on PS2 took what Shenmue was trying to do, but then actually did it right. I recommend those.

I completely disagree. I find the Yakuza series to be generic, too overbloated with random activities and contains a ridiculous, nonsensical plot. I didn't find the combat enjoyable, I found myself bored sludging through the city from point A to point B to do a beat em up scene or a simplistic mini-game. The story itself is absolutely laughable and juvenile, so what is the point of spending so much time wandering the city streets to get to the next segment of the game, if that segment is the same activity you have been doing this entire time to reveal a story that is bland.
I get frustrated when people bring up a small 5 minute portion of a game and say, "This is what is wrong with this game." Want to know about the sailor portion? Spoilers!
Worst game ever!

In Shenmue you feed a kitten cat food you bought from a neighborhood convenience store.
In Yakuza 2 you have to beat two fully grown pissed off tigers to death with your bare fists.
Your argument is invalid.

Yakuza has you escorting an annoying little girl for hours and taking them to a gambling den.
Combat system in Shenmue is better than Yakuza. Story is better than Yakuza. The World is more interesting than Yakuza.
