See, knowing you, this could be taken as the euphemism it is. Or, you might really be stopping to see a guy about his horse.

...the suspsense!
It was about an actual horse, instead we just bought a bunch of standard tack and some exotic harnesses - like a 20s training harness with large cast iron rings.

Gold cards are just for aesthetics; doesn't affect gameplay whatsoever.
Correct. He must have had something like an Sorcerer's Apprentice (Spells Cost 1 less) and a Dalaran Mage (Spells do 1 more damage)

Ok, so another one I don't quite understand...

LIGHTSPAWN - This minion's attack is always equal to its health

Attack is 0 when played, health is 5 (which is odd...as they are supposedly ALWAYS equal). So, I assume that at the start of next turn is when that happens - so if it's still at 5 health, his attack then moves to 5 at start of turn.

However, in my match, the guy played that for (4 mana). It was 0/5. Then he played a DIVINE SPIRIT for only (2 mana), which doubled Lightspawn's health to 10 and instantly his attack went to 10 (before his next turn)? So, for (6) mana he had a 10/10 character instantly. THEN, he played a CHARGE card, the (0) pt card, not the (3) pt card which also adds +2. (Give a friendly minion charge).

So, he now has a 10/10 w/charge and has only spent 6 mana. THEN he plays a VELEN'S CHOSEN (3 mana). +2/+4 (which for lightspawn is of course equal to +4/+4).

So, for (9) mana, he loads up a 14/14 character than can attack the same turn it's played. It was beautiful to watch. It was infuriating that I was up 19-4 when he did it. (He had another card w/5 attack - so the round ended that turn...after I was 100% positive I was ending him the next turn).

That was a mistake.

Atleast he wasnt playing Monk. I had one drop one of those bastards, then power word shield (+2 health), then divine spirit (double hp) twice. He went from 0/5 to 28/28 and he had two taunts up.

Brutal.

Also, noise is referring to a match he spectated.

The guy I played, every 5 seconds during my turns: That was a mistake.

As stupid as it is - I got so annoyed it did fluster me...every time I hover over a card, even though he can't see it, he says, That was a mistake, and I start overthinking everything...then, I do make an actual mistake, and boom, That was a mistake.

Its all mind games. I know it is easy to say "Dont let them get in your mind" but that is really the only advice you can give. I did play a game with a fella who we had a staring match for the first few rounds. It went to round five before either of us played something. He blinked and that was his mistake.

I know it sucked for Mike, but as a spectator that was the funniest match of Hearthstone I've ever witnessed. I laughed. A lot.

That said - Mike, if you get another headgamer like that again - this might be obvious, but mute your TV.

It doesn't help that when I do make a mistake, the guy says, "That was a mistake" and then I get a caption bubble on my screen from noise:
lol

This guy is cracking me up

Do you know you can squelch your opponent?

That's not Lightspawn... you're thinking about Arcane Golem; a 4 atk/2 health with Charge whose downside is that it gives your opponent a mana crystal. Then he put several Power Overwhelming spells on it which boosts it stats for 1 mana (which downside is that it instantly dies the next turn, but that doesn't matter when he plans to win that very turn anyway).

Unless I'm mistaken(?) Only the Warlock class says "That's a mistake" (Priest says "My apologies"). What you described makes sense to me too though, minus the "charge". He must have had discounted spells and minions in his hand from a card like Emperor Taurissen.

There's no cards in Priest that give your minions charge. It says "0/5" for the stats in the case that it is silenced by something, those are the stats it's going to be.

Also, right-click on the opponent's hero and click "Squelch" and you don't have to hear them say "That was a mistake" the entire game. :P

edit: the only other possibility is that you're playing as Warrior and the turn before the enemy Priest used Nefarian to get spells from your class for the Charge spell
