I sit on a foot stool it's comfortable & is easily removed when I play RB or GH.I usually sit on the floor when I play fighting games with my arcade stick.I want a couch, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on it plus my drum set takes of a lot of extra space.

At my computer desk, I currently sit on one of the kitchen chairs since my office chair broke.
Playing my consoles on the TV, I usually sit on my reclining couch if the controller is wireless and on my recliner (closer to the TV) if its wired.

I have a living room layout much like lordofduct's elegant illustration... I commonly sit on the sofa, but if I'm serious about performance i sit crosslegged on my wii balance board directly in front of the TV... Perfect!!

I picked this baby up from a buddy who owned (then closed) a gaming center. its not the most glorious chair in the world or anything but it reminds me a little bit of the aeron that was in your post which is pretty cool. I have really enjoyed the chair for the two years i have had it especially since its never made my back hurt. also since its a computer chair its nice to be on computer, swing around to the tv, scoot it closer if needed, all really easily.

Right now: couch, office chair from the 60s, or 50s fiberglass chairs my grandfather gave me - eames lounger. However in the near future I am going to be buying two of these:

And so you know, that eames lounger:

Front Room Wii - Couch
PC & Dreamcast - Office Chair (both are connected to my LCD)
Genesis/CD, Saturn, PS1, PS2, - Basement Couch
Arcade and Emulators - Stand at MAME Cabinet or use a Bar Stool.

I prefer the Bar Stool. It's at just the right height to easily stand up and scream at the screen with minimal effort and maximum speed. I pace when I talk and need room to fidget when I play games for a long time so the stool comes in handy for that as well.

Oh, fastbilly1 I have a POANG from Ikea and it is one of the most comfortable chairs to sit in. It is our reading chair. My wife and I actually almost get into fights over who gets to sit in it. With that being said, I don't think it would be too good for playing games - its too lounge-like. You might be better off with the fiberglass chair.

I was afraid someone would say that, ohwell, I still plan on buying two of them. I am actually hoping that someone knows of a chair that feels similar but is a loveseat...I know it is a stretch but I would buy one of those before the chairs. Space Booger did yall spring for the leather version? If so, is it worth the extra 70?

The fiberglass chairs are awesome. My grandfather bought them when he opened his doctors office after the war. When he finally closed shop last year they all came to my family. Each of us got one or two of those, and two chairs that look like these - different legs though, one in orange, one in robin blue:

And yes, my grandfather rocks.

I just sit in a cheapo computer chair that I picked up from Goodwill. When my computer desk, bed, TV and closet are all within ten feet of each other in a single room in a shared house, I don't get too many options for comfortable seating. Hopefully, I will be able to work with a better set-up once I get out of college.
