So I just played a "worthy opponent" but his deck was just insane - so many cards i've never seen...and some cards I did see, but were more powerful, even though the cost was the same. Example: he paid 4 for a fireball, but it did 7 damage instead of 6?

EDIT: and yeah, I would love to do like an official double or triple elim bracket. Playing SB, Mitch and noise was really great.

are you doing Casual or Ranked?

Was it a gold version of the card? Not sure if those have different stats, I only have one and I don't know its regular stats.

He probably had a minion with "Spell Damage +1", which speaks for itself on what it does to spells like Fireball.

Gold cards are just for aesthetics; doesn't affect gameplay whatsoever. (though you can indirectly inform your opponent what cards you have/not have by playing some cards gold and others not; for example if a non-gold card gives you a non-gold Fireball and then you play your GOLD fireball, then your opponent knows you have at least one more Fireball in your hand.)

Sign me up for any tournies btw. I just hope I won't crush you all too badly, since you're newbs.
