A free Virtual Reality Arcade!

So I just recently got an oculus rift kit and while browsing some projects I found this:

It is a free virtual reality arcade! You can download mame roms and then play them on arcade machines in VR . You can also play SNES and Gameboy games thanks to built in emulators that you can play on (well its on emulators, but you are playing on a screen in the game-hard to explain unless you see a video of it). There is also darts, basketball, bowling, and a cassette player that lets you play cassettes if you download the songs. I tested it out for a little bit and it is awesome, I also forgot to mention that you do not need an oculus rift to play it (you can just play it like any other pc game). If anyone has any questions, let me know! I thought you guys would be interested in this.

The game is free, so I don't see why you shouldn't give it a try!

well that's an impressive acquisition.

I think if I were gonna explore VR, I'd go with the Vive when it comes out. Though I'd need some compelling reasons (IE: games).

What's yr take on the OR kit? I'm always surprised when folks say they got one as they are basically still in Beta, right?

It is actually pretty neat . Yep, it is still in its beta/developers form. I was able to get this for only 120$ shipped though, and at the price I thought why not! Several demos are pretty cool and really immersive. Horror demos in particular are immersive, they are actually pretty scary and sometimes I have to quit the game . I have heard though that the Vive and the consumer oculus rift are suppose to be way better, but my idea is that the dev kit will rise in value over time and I would be able to sell it if I don't want to keep it and then buy a consumer headset with the profit. Do you have any more questions/want me to test out a specific demo?

Edit: I also heard Elite Dangerous is suppose to be great in case you would be interested in that game

Elite Dangerous is the one game on my radar. $120 is a great price tho. You did good.
