East central, around the Daytona Beach area. I don't have any photos of my finds, and there really isn't anything too mind blowing, but there were a couple of empty Wii U boxes with some inserts, an empty PS4 box with inserts, a bunch of posters and a HUGE Final Fantasy Type-0 HD standee. I gotta take some pics and post them up in the gaming finds thread. A lot of empty cases too, but there were some complete boxes and manuals for some Nintendo DS games.
Overall it's actually really good if you're looking for cheap cases, and with occasional luck, games too. Just depends on the night really.

I'm curious now...you crawl in the dumpster? I can't fathom that. I suppose, in a way, you are providing a service by lowering landfill waste though. Whatever works for you. I look forward to some pics.

Oh some nights it's terrible. Especially because a lot of these places are adjacent to chinese food places. It stinks, it's terrible, and there are generally awful nights where it isn't worth it. Also you have to do it at night and cops look at you funny, but once I post some pics, especially the Final Fantasy display, you'll understand why I do it. Sometimes I don't have to crawl in, in the case of the display it was right on the top so I was just able to easily grab it. Some stores like to separate their cardboard from their other waste, which makes it easier to track down things like posters, displays, and console boxes which are what I look for mainly.
There a good thread where it'll be relevant to post my finds, or is the gaming finds thread okay?

I think this warrants an new thread. Post up all your old, cool pics of stuff you found in the past.Josh wrote:Oh some nights it's terrible. I'm m0ondogy. Call me m0ondogy for short.
I found this site through aimless web browsing one day. Ive lurked for a month or so. Its finally time to join up and say some things. Mostly because Ive been on a retro game collection kick the past year or so.
I'm collecting with the goal of regaining my lost collection (thanks Katrina), adding those that I played a lot of but never owned, and hopefully to add some of the greats to my collection that i missed in the past.
I started out on my older brother's NES and Genesis, but my real focus is on my Saturn and N64. I've been spending lots of time recently on my school (degree 3 completed soon), work (who needs sleep), and my current gen games (halo: mcc and Infamous: ss).
Im also working at beating all the scenarios in RCT 1.
Hope to see you on the forums.
For me, the two biggest games for me nostalgically are Dragon Force and Enemy Zero. With Dragon Force, my friends and I would get together and play as a team. One person was our strategist, seeing which units were good against which and gave overall unit advice. Another guy would be our morale dude, knowing who was upset or annoyed in their position and give them things to do to make them happy. We all decided where to go next and who to focus on, but man it was a blast to play.
With Enemy Zero, that was the one game my buddy was phenomenal in. He loved games, but was never really good at them, but Enemy Zero was his gem. He played it on the hardest difficulty level and I would just watch him with baited breath. That game was scary and I honestly can not handle horror games still to this day. It was awesome to watch him beat it though.
Anywho, enough waxing poetic, welcome aboard!
Glad to be here. Its been a while since I posted my first time. Life gets in the way sometimes.
I spent countless hours on Nights, Bomberman, and Sega Rally. Though, my favorite was Burning Rangers. It had that something extra to it that games just seems to have missed.
Bud, wax away. Thats half the reason for having this hobby. Some games just dont hold up well, but we still play them for those memories.

Hey welcome aboard and it is an absolute pleasure to have you here! I checked out your site and found your Pac-man 2 walkthrough to be fun and entertaining. Not a lot of people do independent picture Let's Plays anymore and it is refereshing to see. You picked a ridiculous game that not a lot of people play, let alone try and beat considering the difficulty and user interface frustration.DeadPark wrote:Hi everyone

So what games you do you plan on doing in the future? What systems do you have and enjoy playing? Any games that stand out to you as being some of your favorites?

as far as future games. i've always had a habit of recording my playthroughs. so i have recordings already for Earthworm Jim and Mega Man. i was thinking of making articles for them to flesh out the site quickly. after that, if i get some followers, i might take suggestions.
if you liked the site, could you follow me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/DeadParkGames. you know. try to get the word out that the site exists.
I'm just really happy right now someone actually went to my site!
as for what games / systems i have. i emulate pretty much anything on cartridge. and i own an NES, SNES, Genesis, the whole gameboy and ds family. as well as the playstation systems.
for games, i like and will at least attempt to play just about anything, even if i'm not good at them. i do tend to gravitate towards JRPG's though.
