Ugh, the Hunter hero sucks or I do or both. Much prefer the Mage.

The best advice I can give for Hearthstone is the same advice I had in Magic. Life is a resource, winning with full health only gives you bragging rights. So dont drop your Mirror Image on turn 1.

right. More and more I'm learning that it's not just the cards you play - it's the order in which you play them. Meaning, in a single hand you might play 3 cards, but the order that you play them can cause a huge difference in outcome.

Very true.

Case in point, say it is round six and I have a Warsong Commander, Coin, and two Murloc Tidehunters in my hand. I can spend the coin, drop the Warsong Commander, then both Tidehunters. The Warsong Commander gives any newly dropped creatures under attack 3 charge (so they can attack the turn they are played), while the Tidehunters spawn 1/1 Murlocs. Done properly you have 6 attack points that can charge in four characters. If they survive and you drop a Raid Leader next turn you have 10 attack in Murlocs alone, since most people will target the Warsong Commander first.

Edit:
Better example:
Murloc Tidecaller and then Murloc Tidehunter - gives you a 3/2 Murloc buddy.

Also, try to keep your minions alive. That's (the opposite of) what I noticed the most when spectating you (hehe)... try to maximize the health your minions have while getting rid of your opponent's, so you make them run out of options.

Also, Hunter is one of the cheapest classes out there @Stark. Good to start off with actually for beginners without more of the "Expert" cards. Make a rush deck with it (minions with charge; only attack the enemy hero and don't kill their minions). That said, I much prefer playing as Mage too.
I know that's the opposite of what I said above; Hunter is just one of those classes everyone hates (lol). Many different styles of play in HS.

astute observation. I'd say I do have a tendency to play a bit aggressively toward the player, which can sometimes come at the cost of sacrificing minions stupidly.

I don't know why - maybe beginners luck, or maybe the AI is just really low when you first start out, but I feel like i'll never lose at this game.

The AI is really bad to the point of ridiculousness. The appeal of the game is definitely in the online play... not really a challenge if going for single player only IMO. Not to knock you or anything. :P

Wait till you play online. Games take a different dynamic when the other player makes random choices. The AI is more keen on clearing the battlefield than the other player.
