Wave 4 came out here in the UK on Friday, and most of them are impossible to find.
I got Wario and Charizard (they're the easy ones) and my Robin preorder came through too. My Lucina was cancelled though, and I got there too late to even preorder Ness and Pacman.
Luckily I think I'm ahead of the game on wave 5. I have multiple preorders on Greninja, Jigglypuff, Zero Suit Samus, Dark Pit, Palutena and Ganondorf. If I end up with doubles I intend to use them as trade fodder for some of the other ones I've missed. Racketboy people will get first dibs of course!
I also managed to preorder the Splatoon amiibos and one of the yarn yoshi's (I don't want all 3).
I'm sure they'll all get cancelled as usual though!
i finally have my first amiibo!
got MegaMan at SRP so i didnt pass it up. I promised i wouldnt be collecting amiibo if megaman wasnt my first and im never buying above SRP.
Finally let my first Amiibo breath the open air: Mega Man. Had an extra one and neither packaging was in great condition so figured what the hell. Nice to actually hold one in my hands for once lol.
As for Wave 4, I nabbed Jiggly puff from Target and the Splatoon 3-pack. I got Robin and Ness from Amazon UK but they keep delaying my order so I don't know if I'll ever get those. Bought them right when the shit went down and for some reason a lot of Americans got theirs and I didn't.
This wave has been a nightmare and it's definitely soured me on these. My only hope is that they really do stay true to what they said about no anticipating demand and flood the market with them. It was fun for awhile trying to grab harder to find ones, but having five total minutes to grab some of these new ones is ridiculous.

So has anyone seen an increase of these yet? GS was claiming they'd have Shulk in stock on the 5th but I feeling it was a fake date still haven't looked.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing or not, but they had another batch of preorders for Shulk but you had to go into the store. They were set to ship to home on May 1st. They were never going to have more in the stores as far as I can recall reading. FYI I did get one of these May 1st orders at the time but your guess is as good as mine when it's arriving, if ever. Radio silence from GameStop. I'll probably call them at some point soon just to ask what the hell's going on.
As far as seeing more in general, hell no.

Damn them, and their rotten preorder only stuff. That I was not told by the store rep, just that they had a 5/1 or 5/5 date whatever it was and they'd be back.
NOA is seriously pissing me off on multiple fronts the last few years. Wii, WiiU, Amiibo mismanagement, tying games to a system not an account. It's like they want to drive people off who can think for themselves and see they're doing dumb stuff and just keep around those who are just happy they exist.
I've no idea about Shulk, but I did read somewhere that they were going to do another run of Ike and Dedede some time this summer. Whether that's true or not is anybody's guess.
There were some quotes about how they didn't anticipate the demand and will be getting more supply out there "to meet the demand." I still don't have hopes for there being a ton of Fire Emblem characters on the shelf (especially after the nutjobs grab all of the initial restock), but I would give it a few months before giving up. By Labor day there might be a lot more out there.

Yeah, I read those same reports. I'm hopeful for a decent restock (or actual stock in some cases, considering I doubt any of the new Fire Emblem characters will actually make it to stores), what with 2 new Fire Emblem games coming out soon (3 if you count the split 3DS game) not to mention the Code Name STEAM compatibility, but I'm not holding my breath. Though I will cross my fingers.
