Super Mario RPG (Case and PCB question)

Post by Synnae »

Hello guys. I'm new here. :D

I'm with one problem. I have a Japanese Super Famicom but I want to play the North American version of SMRPG on it.

We all know that a NA case won't fit on a SFC, but if I take out the NA SMRPG's PCB out of its case and put it on a JP SMRPG case, will it fit?

I know that I can play the game using solely the PCB, but I want a case as well... :(

So that's it. I just want to know if I can swap the cases between the JP and NA versions of the game. :)

It should, yes. I'd be surprised if the boards weren't identical in every way, so the shape should match up. Alternatively they make an adapter that sits between the US game and the Super Famicom as well.

The PCB's are the exact same, so yes you can just swap cases :)
