I'm lucky enough to live less than 4 miles away. It'll be hand delivered Sunday.

I was actually supposed to go over there today for dinner too, but I had one of those days where my body didn't want to sleep when I told it to, so I rescheduled today's visit for Friday

I'll see my folks over the weekend. They come by here or we go by there every other week or so. I'll call my MIL on Sunday but no cards. Thankfully the majority of my family, both sides, are not into $4 pieces of cardstock. A phone call, or meal together are more enjoyable for all involved.

When I walk my dog sometimes he poops. That would be okay but he likes to stare into my eyes when he does. I get uncomfortable but damn if I'm losing a staring contest.

I went to the hardware store and asked for fabric pinchers. They didn't have any. Instead they had clothes pins but who the hell sticks big assed pins through their clothes?

Some people have alarm clocks with red LEDs, but I refuse to have one. I think it just makes the clock look angry. So I like alarm clocks with green LEDs because green means go and that makes me want to get out of the bed in the morning. Some people have alarm clocks with blue LEDs and I'm still trying to figure out how the hell I even feel about that.

I work with this dude who always drinks his coffee black out of an orange cup. He thinks drinking black coffee makes him look like a badass. So I bought a white coffee cup and drink my coffee black out of that now. The stark color contrast makes my coffee look blacker than his. He says it doesn't matter but I can see the twitch in his lip.

The other day my neighbor was looking at my car tires. He said they needed to be rotated. I told him I rotate them every time I drive dumbass what the hell.

I recommend sticking with red. Blue light (and some green as well) has been shown to reduce melatonin production and can cause sleep problems. Red light does not exhibit these properties. LCD screens are typically a little heavy on the blue wavelengths and so recommendations of reducing screen exposure before bedtime have been on the rise.

I have green letters on my alarm clock.

I also keep it in the living room. Srs. So I have to haul myself out of bed to shut it off.

Though half the time I am woken up well before my alarm with the sound of "Dada, wee-wee diaper!"

My alarm clock has a feature where the display shuts off and doesn't come on unless I trip a motion sensor (that's not very sensitive; I usually have to wave like a madman to trip it) or the alarm goes off.

My alarm clock just has a door that can cover the numbers.

A cartridge door.

Because a buddy of mine made me an NES alarm clock

Coming from a roving pack of French early-20th-century avant-garde artists, I assume?
