You need to adopt my shelving system. Pull out dividers, like a blank slim CDR case... all games you have beaten per system are organized to the left of the divider, untouched/unbeaten games go on the right. I do this by system now and that and logging beat games has gone a long way for me haha. Seriously though when I jumped from the 360 to the PS3 a few years back, the right side of my PS3 games was massive... now it's nothing in comparison to the bigger side of the stuff I've beaten to the left. It's hilarious but amazing to add to that side and watch it evolve.
I'm sitting at 5 sealed games (Wii, Wii U, and PS3/PS4 stuff). Though I have a little over a dozen or so untouched/unbeaten, so still some work to do. Not too bad though.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I basically keep my new stuff sealed until I am ready to play it. That is counter-productive at times because down the line I am somewhat hesistant to open a pricey Collector Edition.
My new game accumulation has slowed though as I have only been buying stuff new if I want to play it now, if it is a small dev or publisher I want to support, or if I think it will be hard to find down the line. Too often I have bought stuff at full price or even after the first mark down, and it sits on my shelf.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Ok I'm feeling lazy. Anyone know of a good youtube let's player or reviewer of retro games who is funny?
Actually I would rather watch long reviews/playthoughs that skip to the important bits, rather than people who go through the entire thing live, but I'll take what I am given.

I just came to the realisation that when I bought the "classic retro" Dreamcast for nostalgia, it was younger than xbox 360 today. (2008 if you are interested)

The one positive though if you've waited is you can grab a non-collector's edition pretty cheap by that point (usually).Jmustang1968 wrote:I basically keep my new stuff sealed until I am ready to play it. I have a bunch of situations like this for the Wii - the Skyward Sword wiimote bundle (sealed), Xenoblade first run (sealed), Last Story Collector's Edition (sealed).

Other one that i find entertaining is Pro Jared, instead of making 100 parts of one gamehe kinda plays a random part of the game.

Like "heh heh ya that's kinda funny I guess" funny? Pat the NES Punk or AVGN are the closest I've watched.ZeroAX wrote:Anyone know of a good youtube let's player or reviewer of retro games who is funny?
But "laugh out loud and spill your drink funny" kinda funny? Never seen such a thing in that realm.

Right now there are perhaps two YouTube game reviewers that I subscribe to and AVGN is one. Always liked him - both his material and Jim as a person. He reminds me a lot of myself, and I suppose that's part of the appeal (for me at least). I never knew he had any detractors until I joined message boards such as this.
