Three Mona Lisas side by side.
First one is standard.
Second one is just text that says MONA LISA.
Third one is just text that says TELE-GAMES 1506.

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
The "Season Pass" is one of the worst concepts in modern gaming, as it's becoming accepted to buy a game, then pay almost half the price of the game again if you want the rest of the game. It's given them an excuse to be extra abusive with DLC.
It's stuff like this that has made me stop buying physical releases of new games. I don't feel like I'm "preserving" the game for the future. I feel like I'm preserving part of the game for the future.

Golden Axe is not a bad game by any stretch of the term.
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Wonder Boy 1 is terrible, Altered Beast is actually a great (slow) game, and Last Battle for the Genesis isn't that bad either.
...(unpopular on this forum) Ocarina of Time is the best in the Legend of Zelda series too.

Couldn't be more true from what I've seen...admittedly it's the only zelda I've ever beaten(I need to remedy that soon but I've got a lot of other games on my plate above my zelda'sdogman91 wrote:...(unpopular on this forum) Ocarina of Time is the best in the Legend of Zelda series too.

Because many of us started with Legend of Zelda on NES or A Link to the Past on Super Nintendo, so we got to enjoy the leaps and jumps the series made as it evolved over time. That's not to say many of us don't think Ocarina of Time is a good game, but it was just one in a line of change and innovation, one where many of us had already picked out favorites or found something with more appeal to our individual tastes.darsparx wrote:dogman91 wrote: Couldn't be more true from what I've seen...admittedly it's the only zelda I've ever beaten(I need to remedy that soon but I've got a lot of other games on my plate above my zelda's). I don't see why it's such a unpopular thing to think here, though I wonder what it'd be like to have that game to where it was more populated(I don't think they did that with the 3ds port)...hyrule field is the only downside not enough in that huge area...

OoT is still far and beyond my favorite of the 3D games.
And yes, being there at the time of its release was mindblowing with the N64's advent into 3D. It was breathtaking.

A fool and his money are soon parted. People (especially here in America) are obsessed with getting a "deal." All they see is you save $5 if you buy the season pass. They're too dumb to realize that they're probably going to be bored of the game by the time that third map pack rolls around.Gunstar Green wrote:The "Season Pass" is one of the worst concepts in modern gaming, as it's becoming accepted to buy a game, then pay almost half the price of the game again if you want the rest of the game. I love Titanfall more than most but I didn't buckle on the season pass, and I actually DID end up buying all three map packs. I always do it that way because like I said, there's a good chance you're bored of a game before all the DLC comes out, and also because if they can keep my interest that long I'll gladly hand them another 5 bucks.
Not saying I'm a genius but if people do it that way they actually save more money NOT buying those season passes given most gamers don't stick with a game for a long time.

For me it's somewhere between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Both games are paced really well and I really enjoy the wolf gameplay in Twilight Princess. I wasn't crazy about the N64 games, I need to play the 3DS versions of each and see if any of them change my perception.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

I can at least say the soundtracks by Koji Kondo for Zelda all the way up to Majora's Mask are top-notch stuff; simply genius. The best music in these games were definitely composed by him.
Sims 4 is out? Great, time to start playing the Sims 3.
How I do it these days is to wait until they simply stop updating the game to even consider picking it up (yes, years past the initial release date sometimes). I'm in no rush to play games RIGHT as they come out. You can save a lot of money that way, especially when they have deals for the whole thing with all the DLC (like GOTY editions).Snatch1414 wrote:Not saying I'm a genius but if people do it that way they actually save more money NOT buying those season passes given most gamers don't stick with a game for a long time.
